This review is for the Smoke Detector Carbon Monoxide Detector Combo, from AITecSecLfe. Delivered on time and in perfect condition from Amazon. This appears to monitor correctly, of course I do not have the equipment to test. Was easy to install in my upstairs loft, and came equipped with batteries in the box. These have a LED viewscreen built in and a easy to use test button _ super important since this unit does not have a 10 year battery, but will have to be changed more frequently.Seems to work well so no real complaints โ recommended

Item: "Smoke Detector Carbon Monoxide Detector Combo, Fire Alarms Smoke detectors and Smart co Detector with Battery Powered for Home, Travel or RV, Portable, Digital Display (1 Pack)"Price: $24.99It's nice that it comes with 3 AA batteries. (It takes 3 AA).It claims >= 85 dBm (so 85dB at 1m away)...... Im telling you that if I was in the same room as this, it would NOT wake me up. My wife is light sleeper and she says the same.Another IMPORTANT NOTE: The product instructions state "THIS MUST ONLY BE INSTALLED ON A WALL" .... so no ceiling mount??? Why don't they tell you this before you buy? They claim that sensitivity is 50ppm, but then in the book, it clearly says 70ppm, which will take apparently 60-180 mimutes to trigger [YES THAT SAYS MINUTES.... 1-3 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]. They claim in the listing that low levels trigger it in 2 minutes???? This is clearly not the case.Further, it says that at 150ppm it may take between 10-50 minutes to alarm?!?!?!?!?!? 150ppm is 3x the danger level......Lastly, it says to alarm in 2-6 minutes, the levels have to be at or over 700ppm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CO is apparently slightly ligher than air.. so if a ceiling option was there, that is where it would go.I'm not going to trust my family's life to it. 3 hours we could all be gone in that time.

This combo fire/CO monitor is well made and provides a wealth of safety benefits. It's easy to install. Great functional item being that it monitors carbon monoxide and fire/smoke detection. It does require 2 AA batteries but they are already in the monitor. A slight concern is that is says it detect CO at levels low as 50ppm and I really believe it should be at 45ppm. At 45ppm is when you should start removing yourself from a situation where co is detected. I do get that's a low level and you can remain safe at that level continuously for I think 8hrs but when I saw the 50ppm, it just made me think about safety training I had years ago so I wanted to mention it. Other than that it is durable, compact, loud and a lifesaver. It's a win for me. Every home should have multiples and I do believe now the combo is the safety standard. I could be wrong on that but why have two separate monitors when you can have all you need in one. I highly recommend. It could save a life.

Alarm using Photoelectric sensor to detect smoke and uses Electrochemical to detect Carbon Monoxide, which according to my research is the very best choice (and what Kidde monitors use)UL certificated, Batteries provided, so it is IMMEDIATELY ready for use :-). has End of Life warnings,5 year life, batteries are individually wrappedEnd of Life warnings are not in the manual, but when I asked the seller, the seller immediately provided them, and let's be honest, all we need to know is that there will be a warning when you need to replace the device.Once initialized; during normal operation the LED screen will remain UNlit unless there is an alarm, and the GREEN LED light will flash every 60 seconds. After reading a negative review I did some research and found that this product as well as the most popular brand products have the exact same sensitivity and time.Teck stuff:*. EOL (End of Life) warning signal: The buzzer will beep continuously for 5 times every 30 seconds, accompanied by 5 flashes of the LED indicator. (According to regulatory requirements, it is clearly different from the low voltage reminder and alarm reminder)*. EOL triggering mechanism: The product has a built-in logic calculation chip to detect the cumulative power on time of the product. When the five year validity period is reached, the detector will send out the warning signal mentioned above. The seller's response when I asked what the detection sensitivity was, since this webpage says 50ppm and their manual says 70 ppm: "According to UL 2034 standard, the alarm concentration of CO alarm should be between 70ppm and 400ppm. Therefore, we have written a conservative alarm sensitivity of 70ppm in the product manual. However, in reality, the detection sensitivity of our product is as low as 50ppm, which is far higher than the requirements of UL 2034 standard"

Good smoke/carbon monoxide detector all around. Only problem I had was that the 3m tape didnโt hold the detector in place for more than a couple of days so I had to secure it with screws. It fell off the wall after a couple days and I was afraid it would be broken or nonfunctional after falling but after securing back in place with screws, it still worked. It was really easy to install and has a good noise level so I can hear it in my bedroom if itโs alarming.
