My garage door was so noisy that it made my wife wince every time I opened it. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to make it quieter by switching out the rollers for ones like this. He also recommended using 1/2" wire shrink wrap on the axels, which I did. I meant to take an actual reading with my sound meter before and after but I forgot. I can say however that the door is much better. Now I want to go all the way and install one of those motors that hooks onto the pipe on top of the door. That will be a major project, for now, I think these rollers were a great, quick, easy upgrade.
