Chillproof is an aquatic specific windchill proof, 3-layer composite material with the thermal properties of a 2.5 to 3mm neoprene wetsuit but without many of the drawbacks of traditional wetsuits. Chillproof can be worn under a wetsuit for extra warmth and enhanced wind protection. Chillproof can also be worn by itself as the perfect watersports thermal wear or layered with other Sharkskin garments for extra warmth and insulation.

The full-zip design allows you to zip up for 100% warmth and protection, or zip completely or partially down to avoid overheating when the sun comes out or your work rate goes up. I really wanted to find a Sharkskin zip up top that fit but after trying multiple sizes I was unable to find a proper fit. I own the matching pants and they fit well but the top is a different story. I have a fairly large chest and wide shoulders. And these tops don’t fit my build the wrists are also very small and difficult to get my hands out of the sleeves.

This is a great shirt easy to put on and take off, even if you are sweaty. Dove in Jamaica and it kept me warm both in the water and on the boat when traveling to the second dive site. Only one problem, do not believe the sizing, I am 6 foot 160 lbs, 40" chest, 33" waist and the large is really tight. I am a skinny triathlete and wished I had gone with the xtra large. It is tight thru the underarms and chest. Then length of the large is very good.I am used to wearing a tight wetsuit for swimming, so not a real big deal for me, but might be if you are not used to it.Overall these are great shirts, just get the sizing right.

Every wetsuit I have is a 2XL, I ordered the 4XL in this, and it was still too tight in the chest, stomach, and shoulders. I could get the zipper up, but it really wanted to grab my stomach and chest hair. Plus, maybe it’s an Australian thing, but the zipper pull was on the left side of the jacket, and not the right. Made me wonder if they accidentally sent me a woman’s top? Anyway, unfortunately it’s got to go back.
