Ordered an extra because my unit sits partially under a roof eave and is in a position that the OAT (outdoor thermostat, this item) is artificially biased during operation. The OAT really only matters during heating operation because these units will force 2nd stage ("high") at or below temperatures of 37F. Heat pump fans will blow/exhaust cooler than ambient air during heat cycle operation. Since some of my unit's air hits the roof eave then comes back down the wall, like an air eddy, it artificially lowers the temperature reading such that our heat pump was switching to 2nd stage at ~38F or even ~40F...made it way too warm in the house and cycles tend to run a little short. So, I paralleled a ~220kOhm resistor with this OAT to force a positive bias at all times, now the thermostat reads ~2F above ambient at cooler temperatures. Larger difference during the summer but OAT doesn't matter in cooling mode.This is a reliable spare and easily interchangeable.

The thermostat showed outside temperature sensor not working. This was the exact replacement I was looking for. It fit perfectly and is working great now.
