This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own K-type thermocouple for a wide range of applications, or to make your own K-type thermocouple extension wire. The chromel alumel wire is made to standard Type K thermocouple specifications. It is sold in 5 yard (15 ft) precut rolls, so if you order 2 units of this, you will receive 2 rolls, each 5 yard (15 ft) long thermocouple wire. Withe the wide measuring range this Type K thermocouple wire is used in a wide range of scientific and industrian applications. It can be used in the laboratory or for science experiments, as well as for machines, oven, soldering and heat equipment. The electrical insulation properties allow the use in electornics and battery development.

Within 0.0 to 0.1 degrees C of the “store bought” thermocouples. Kapton insulation is perfect for my high temp needs. Twisted or welded tips both work fine.
