had my Multimeter for ages and never thought about the temp setting, cos it didn't ship with a sensor. Learned about its uses and bought these, now I can check temps of anything I want. Works great and will sense meat temps too, hehe. Thanks.

When I first used these, the readings they gave seemed to be rather high. So I conducted an experiment. I already have two type-K thermocouples, and I've verified their accuracy using several methods and on two different meters. These new ones read approximately 40 degrees F above my original thermocouples sitting side-by-side in the same oven, and on both meters. Either these are not type-K or there is some other defect in them. They are unusable.
