The float seems well made and flag has a solid color nylon sewn piece. The connection of flag and weight to float is very loose and just slides into on and off. A wind could take flag out of connector without you knowing if underwater. We are going to have to tape it together to secure. 🤬 No time to replace as we need it this weekend…… I had to update this review as we used the flag once and the counter weight at the bottom just fell off!!! Fortunately in the boat. There is nothing that secures it to the stick.🤬 Had to use flag as a stationary flag on the boat. I rigged it up to tie weight to float ring but that being plastic not sure how long it will last. Not worth the money….

I had ordered nylon flags in addition to these poles due to the reviews of the cheap plastic flags where the white came off after the first use. I ordered two dive flags and they came with nice nylon flags. We used them the same day we received them last week and they worked great. They stayed upright and the flag did not rip or sag. I would highly recommend.

The flag is of the lowest possible quality. The first time I used it, in calm water, clear skies, and little wind, the grommets tore completely free from the flag, along with the wire connecting them to each other. Separately, the white paint used for the diagonal band on both sides of the flag began to dissolve and flake, and spread onto the rest of my gear when I attempted to rinse it.The weighted float is of decent quality, but only purchase this if you plan to use a separate flag acquired elsewhere.

I like the float system. Solid and works well. Flag design with wire to hold it up attached to the grommets popped out of the flag on day 1. Need a better design or will do so repeatedly. Wanted to request a new flag without returning the item but couldn't do so with Amazon's system so kept it. Will Jerry rig it myself. :-(

The flag is unacceptable. The white stripe is painted on and will not last repeated ocean use.That being said, I replaced the flag with one of my own and I like it very much. The float and pole are excellent. I would buy it again and also buy another flag to attach.Throw out the flag that comes with it because it is useless.
