As you are wearing them the hoses are falling all out. You can not detach the metal extenders to fit other pieces as it is too tight. We bought two of them and it was such a waste.

Vac Isn't too heavy.It worked miracles on the carpet. Very surprised at what this powerful vac was able to pull out of the carpet. It doesn't slide as easily on carpet as it does on a bare floor but it works well on both. You can use it without strapping it onto your back because you can set it in its base. It will stand up. The setup instructions are easy to understand and help identify the various parts of the wand, hose and floor attachments. The harness that you put on your back has adjustments on the front for a good fit so that the weight is carried on the hip not of the shoulders. ON/OFF switch is on the side of the hip so it is easy to get too . It has 50' cord so covers large area with no need to change outlet. Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight.

First, I want to say I love my Electrolux cannister vacuum. I have had two (one I inherited and it was 30 yrs old when I traded it in for a new one which I have had for over 10 years) and they last forever with very good suction power compared with other common department stores one I have used in the past.I was looking for a more portable vacuum than my cannister that my two daughters and I could use for quick cleaning for the upstairs/basement. This backpack vacuum has plenty of power. I do not notice it being any quieter than my other vacuum. The quality is of the attachments are so-so, not like my cannister, I guess this is made for more industrial use. The core length is long (I thought that would be a plus) however it is very thick and makes feel quite heavy, which is why I only give it 3 stars. My 10 year old complains about the weight and won't use it (and she likes to vacuum.. go figure). I think if the cord wasn't so heavy I would like it more but again this is probably a good thing for industrial use versus typical house cleaning.

for my purposes this is a great product. I added a little duct tape to help snug up the connection of the pipe segments of the hose, but that was easy enough. I work in a hotel and ordered this because I thought it would do a better job for dealing with stairs than what we had... and I was right. A beater bar attachment may be in my future too, but for now I am ever so pleased with how I can vac hard surfaces as well as the low-pile carpet. The light-weight tubing makes it easy to get up under most furniture without having to move it... which speeds up cleaning time for most of my needs. Would not be my choice for small areas, but with lots of area to cover, the time for rigging it up and/or swapping ends for the tubing is well worth it to me.

I am a big fan of backpack vacuums. They go where you go, there's no lugging a canister or bumping it into things. I am a man however, and I bought this unit thinking my wife could use it also. It was a little too heavy for her comfort for small jobs around the house. Long story short, I do the vacuuming now, but this unit not only makes it fun, it is more effective than a standup broomstick style sweeper. If you are going to strap on a vacuum and get your clean on for an hour or more, this unit is for you! The hip belt and harness transfer all the weight to your hips like a trekker's backpack. It's got a hepa filter and is relatively quiet. I can sweep the hardwood floors and switch sweeper heads to vacuum the carpets, use the smaller attachments to suck debris up between couch cushions and under furniture. The brush attachment is the best. I use it to dust venetian blinds, baseboards, cabinet and furniture inlays, lampshades, radiators, etc. All the attachments are carried on the hip belt. The suction is very good. It's like having a shop vac on your back. Guys, you know what I'm talking about. I only give it 4 stars because I wish it were a bit lighter so my wife could enjoy it s much as I do.

I just received this vacuum and proceeded to clean my home with it. It does seem to be a high quality product which is consistent with commercial use. Although it is not lightweight, it fits on my back comfortably, due to a well designed harness. The handle is very light weight and makes moving the attachments around on the floors and other surfaces quite effortless. The cord is long enough to allow me to do my whole house by plugging it in at only one location. We have a large dog, and it did a very good job at sucking up dog hair, both on bare floors and on our carpets. I was concerned about whether the amount of suction would be sufficient for this job and I am very happy with the power of this unit. It is not overly noisy, and I found that I had no problem at all connecting and disconnecting the accessories. So far, I like it very much. I intend to update this review as I get more use out of it.

The best vacuum I have ever owned. We have all hardwood floors and I don't know how we got along without this. It's light, has an amazingly long cord (we can do the whole house, 1,400 sq ft. from one plug). The wand is very long so getting cob webs on the ceiling is easy. Suction seems to be great and the attachments are exatly what is needed. No more sweeping the wood floors or dragging a canister over them and scratching them. I had read that the rug attachement was not that great but I disagree. I guess if you were to do a deep pile carpet with it you would want a powered rug attachement but for the couple of small rugs we have it works fine and it does spin with suction power. We have two cats and a dog and for the first time our floors always look great. Cannot recomend this enough.
