This belt resembles typical automotive belts and appears to be of much better quality than the original. It installed easily and had my saw up and running in minutes. If you're replacing an original belt, check the pulleys carefully. My old belt had deteriorated and left chunks stuck in the grooves that had to be scraped out.

My saw was making a funny sound. I found that the original belt was falling apart to the point that I still wonder how it ran. Many pieces of the ribbing were gone. This belt went on very easily and is a perfect fit. Now my saw is running like it did when new. The new belt appears to be made better than the original. The ribbing on the original had hardened and was brittle. The material used in this belt does not appear to be one that will become brittle,

After about 12 years the drive belt on my Ricon band saw broke. I called Woodcraft for a replacement and was told I would have to call Ricon. Fearing the OEM price, I checked Amazon and lo and behold there it was. It came in on time, at a good price and everything is good.

I bought my Rikon bandsaw 3 years ago and have hated it ever since because it came with a cheap drive belt that refused to stay on. I finally bought this belt and it runs like a new machine. I guess that makes me the fool for waiting so long to buy this, but glad I did!
