Buyer beware. This and chinese knock off of the carter. I didn't realize that when I bought it. It works exactly as it should but it came with no mounting bolts and no instructions. I found some on you tube of someone installing a carter. You'll need to buy two 1/4x20 x 1" long Allen head screws and drill two 13/64 holes and tap your saw with the threads. But if you can do that....it works great.

I do a lot of blade changes, and when this became available to review I was thrilled. The packaging was fine and it was delivered with no complications. It was easy to install on a General 14" bandsaw. It definitely reduces the time needed to change the blade and the long handle, I am vertically challenged, makes tensioning much easier. If you are in a similar situation it would be a value as it offers a huge convenience factor. This quick change tensioner is a game changer for anyone who swaps blades regularly. Even if you don't it makes changing a blade much faster and easier to do. The fit and finish on this tensioner is pretty good, and it should last many years. Overall, a great value at the price point. Highly recommend.
