These are a bit difficult to install. The included install tool helps some. Once installed they stay in place and work well.

These are a nice replacement for the original bandsaw tires. They come with good instructions.

Craftsman 12" Bandsaw-Sander 113243440 - I've never used a bandsaw and picked this up off craigslist for $100 - After watching sooo many people struggle installing these tires I was NOT looking forward to replacing mine and kept putting it off. I bit the bullet and placed the tires in hot water using my NuWave set to 140 degrees for about 10 minutes then increased to 150 for 5 minutes - I used the included tool and 1 clamp to start - it wasn't easy but it was not as difficult as I had seen in others videos - the tire snapped into place - I equalized the tension by rolling the tool around the entire wheel a couple of times -There is a "seam" that I wonder if it will affect the performance - I considered light sanding but choose to leave well enough alone - I'd appreciate other's feedback.I'm happy and now on to replacing blade - replacing steel blocks with cool blocks and adjusting everything - I hope this helps

The blue max band saw wheels works very well so far. A bit to wrestle on, but with some pulling and the cheap tool that is sent with the wheel bands, you should be able to get the job done. A piece of dowel rod with a nail and a piece of flimsy plastic just doesn’t cut it. Would be good if redesign of the tool was better.

Need to follow the instructions for installation. Good to have another person to help install because they need to be stretched.. Once they are on the wheel, nice and tight. I am happy with the new tires.

I was gifted a 12" Craftsman 113.243311 bandsaw. Although it was in good shape, I decided to bring it into the 21st Century by replacing the black rubber tires, v-belt, and guide blocks. Boy, what a difference these 3 items made.First, I noticed how easily the old tires came off, even though they looked to be in acceptable shape. Second, the new tires definitely didn't go on as easily! However, I had them on within 30 minutes. They fit perfectly. One thing I had noticed was that the saw started with a bit of a "°jerk" before changing these 3 things, although the belt was tracking good, and the old v-belt was properly aligned. After spending a total of $60 for the upgrades, it starts nice and smooth.I could have spent a little less for another set of tires, but I'm glad I went with these tires. They're obviously high quality and meant to fit these old bandsaws.

Not easy to install but if you follow directions plus lock the wheel so it doesn’t turn takes about 15 minutes. The tool that is included is valuable for a stress free install. I made sure to thoroughly clean the tire runway and then wipe with acetone to help insure a good seating.
