Ok...I didn’t go back and review what others have said however, it seems like I remember some saying the batteries weren’t being charged fully. I had NOT had this problem but, my batteries are only a few months old. I use them for trolling and only for my 45lbs thrust trolling motor. I troll for Kokanee and trout. I start at sun up and many times have had to go until almost sundown to get my limits. About 4 hours into the day the first battery would be too low to use and I would switch over to the other battery. I have yet to drain both batteries to a level which would be too low to continue (not even close). So it charges both batteries extremely well in my opinion. As far as connecting the minder to the batteries I must say it shouldn’t take an education- it was simple and easy. I sure in more confined and intricate uses it would make the task a little more thought provoking but the actual connection was simple positive to positive and negative to negative. I did not connect my running battery to the minder and therefore making it extremely easier. Though after reading the directions, it didn’t seem difficult. But for my application I would have needed a 3 bank system and the one I bought was a two bank system. I have had this product now for approximately 3 months and have had to fully recharge my batteries at least a dozen times and so far it has worked flawlessly! I would highly recommend this product.

I am truly impressed with the sophistication of the charger and its small size and light weight. Now we see how long it will last. But off to a good start. And it was easy to install.

Great product! I have hooked this up to my Vanagon to maintain the primary and auxiliary batteries and have no complaints with it's form/function. I can count on this unit to maintain my batteries to their highest capacity and ensure they are always looked after (when plugged in to the main power of course).Only slight downside is that the cables aren't long enough. I placed my unit in a cupboard under the kitchen area and could not run the cables to either of the battery banks without extending them. Aside from this minor gripe, I still give the unit 5 stars.

Currently have this set up tending batteries out of the boat for the winter. Noticed it went though a recoup cycle when first connected. My other trickle charger is not sufficient for deep cycle batteries that need at least 10amp to charge properly. It took 2 days to condition the batteries and now it’s in maintenance mode. No complaints yet and looking forward to getting installed in the boat in the spring. Can already tell it’s a well constructed unit. Cables have a nice heavy insulation on them that is not brittle and stiff. This should do the trick for many years to come. Will update if I find anything different when installed in the boat.

Great add to my boat that didn’t have a plug in charger for its two batteries. Was super easy to install and now I can charge my boat in the driveway with a simple extension cord. Works great.

This is the third ProSport 20 duel- I have bought and owned in one of my 7 boats in my life time. Works flawless from new out of the box, includes System Check for any human and or Mechanical error on any power cable regarding all Batts, we had a wiring issue last night(Wiring schematic was shown from real and when turned around and mounted it was backwards to the way it should have been wired) and it alerted us to it before we hit the open water, other wise we may have experienced a failure off shore, or worse a fire. This Device can literally save your life and that of your family and friends with that feature, and after it happened we made the changes to get everything wired correctly according to the wiring schematics of all electrical components and were rewarded with a Green check mark that all circuits and battery wiring was correctly installed and that charging and maintenance will begin. After this happened yesterday, I got an email from Amazon asking for a review of this last one I just bought and installed, and I usually don't have the time to do a proper review, but I felt it necessary and relevant this time fore sure! As my wife and I reflected on the possible outcome of that undetected and what might have happened to her or one of our own kids, I had to write this.Hope it helps someone.Kind RegardsBigReg

When we bought our Crownline 215ss last year, offered as a factory option, though not installed on our boat, was an on-board battery charger. The way we use the boat, I don't run the engine a whole lot before stopping and putting the key on 'accessory' to listen to the radio and float around, so it doesn't give the alternator a lot of time to charge the batteries. I decided that since it is layed up in storage for five months of the year, and my storage facility accommodates chargers, that I would install it myself. It was actually very easy to install, having some mechanical know-how. The most stressful part was drilling holes in my brand new boat 😱. I also installed a Marinco charging inlet so I could just plug in the charger from outside the boat. The instructions were well done and explained everything well. The boat has a two battery system so I got the Prosport 20 model. The charger itself feels like a quality product. So far, it does a nice job of keeping the batteries charged inbetween uses, and the indicators on the front are clear and easy to understand. Nice product!

My purchase date..You purchased this item on October 18, 2017. I have the 2 bank version mounted permanently on a power wheelchair. It works magnificently !! I pull up and just plug in and it is always with me !! Charges fast and efficiently. The chargers that come with power wheelchairs, charge both batteries but cook off the first one and undercharge the second one. They also charge at such a glacially slow rate that they need to be plugged in for hours and hours. The batteries i have in this wheelchair need to be replaced as they were not the very best brand to begin with. This charger has gotten an extra 9 months { under heavy daily use, and are still going } and more out of them. I couldn't be happier !!

I have dual batteries in my boat, this was easy to install. I bought an exterior plug-in receptacle to go with it and the combination is perfect. I keep it plugged in 100% of the time when I am not using the boat. It has a way of knowing when to shut itself off when the batteries are fully charged, and turn itself back on after they start to drain. While it is not the cheapest solution on the market, my research made me draw the conclusion that it is quality way above the cheapies. Please note, this is not for jump starting motors, it is a great quality charger.

Misleading product description (okay, actually it's dead wrong), but seems to be a pretty good charger otherwise.Ignore the product description that Amazon provides, I'm not sure where they got that. If you check the company's web site, no where do they say this is a three battery charger. This is for charging 2 x 12 volt batteries, period. It can handle the batteries separately or as a 24 volt bank. Not banks of more batteries, which is where I disagree with the company's description of this product. The manual emphasizes several times: "One bank cable connects to no more than one battery". To me one battery is not a "bank". A bank is multiple batteries.http://promariner.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/ProSport-Gen-3-Manual.pdfAlso, when you're using this to charge a 24 volt bank, it's basically a 10 Amp charger. However, it can vary that it the batteries are in different states of charge, i.e. it can put out 15 Amps to one battery and 5 to the other, if that's what the batteries need. If you're using it to charge two separate 12 batteries, you can think of it as a 2 x 10 Amp charger that can shift unused current around to where it will do the most good.Anyway, enough with the negative stuff. I think the Amazon needs to change the description and I think the company needs to be more clear about how it describes this product. In every other way, this appears to be a well made, well thought out product with some nice features. So, despite the issues around the product description, I'm giving it four stars. I'll come back after I've used it for a while and update.Update: 2015-05-30:Been using it for over a month, seems to work well. Charge batteries, use batteries, charge them again, they still work! I've been through about five charge/discharge cycles, a couple of them fairly deep.
