My kids love art. So when I got them this they spent a lot of time making pictures. My daughter made silly pictures of my and my son made a dragon. They both had fun being creative with it, but the downside is that they have only used it a couple of times before finding other things to amuse themselves. But, as an artist, I think this is a useful item, because anything that inspires art is a good thing.

This light-up box was just what I was looking for. It's perfect for sand art, but also works so well with those clear tangrams for learning. I use them with the transparent colorful shapes and letters making learning at home fun and enjoyable. A great size and plugs right in.

This was a fun activity to do with my grandson. Watching him create his own design was great. The size of the display is a great place to start learning this form of art.We didn’t have plug for the usb plug when we played with it and it was still fun.It comes with plenty of sand. I did find it a bit messy and recommended you prepare a space for it.

As someone who has spent their adult life working with children with Sensory Processing and Autism Spectrum challenges, I know firsthand the beauty and magic of a sand table. The fact that this tray lights up to illuminate the tray and shine through the sand tracings to form pictures is beyond whimsical fun! The tiny broom and dustpan easily clean up the sand. Avoid water to prevent mold in the sand or damaging the screen as well as staying safe as the device plugs in to light up. I plan to change the sand after a while, but you only need a small amount which is easy enough to replace. If the person using it is capable of being gentle enough, it can also serve as a tracing tray for drawings. A great gift for anyone with littles!

This sand art box is so cool and fun to use. I ordered it for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas and I've had just as much fun playing with it as she has!The light box is super easy to use and comes with everything you need. It's already set up, so there's no assembly required, other than opening the bag of sand. I should mention that you will need a charger port. It has the cord, but you will need the USB port to plug into. The light box comes with 2 bags of sand (one is enough to make art) and a mini dustpan and brush to sweep up the sand when done.The light box has 3 different color settings and then 10 different brightness levels. The first color setting is a cool blue tone, second is a warm tone, and then the third is sort of a rainbow color with a blends of pink, purple, and blue, with maybe some shades in between.Everything works great and it's soooo easy to draw and create art on. The sand is some of the softest sand I've ever felt. It's so silky smooth and almost therapeutic. This has been so much fun to use with my daughter and has been a great way to spend some one-on-one time with her.Overall, I am absolutely satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend for anyone of ANY age. It's fun, easy, creative, and so calming.
