TIDI’s strong and durable, 60” Posey Premium EZ Clean Gait Belt can help reduce the risk of injury resulting from a loss of balance or an uncontrolled fall. A spring-loaded, self-locking buckle molded from rugged polyethylene provides the caregiver a secure hold-point while assisting during supervised walking and helps reduce wear on the 2” wide belt. To clean the walking belt, simply wipe the belt’s BioThane polyurethane-encapsulated webbing with a mild detergent. Suitable for waist sizes up to 58”. Can also be used as a transfer belt. This gait belt has one of the best and easiest latches to adjust. Belt is strong and professional grade. Same kind they use in most physical therapy sessions.

If you treat bariatric patients this will work. The buckle seam stitching on mine is sloppy. It really should not have passed quality control. It should have been discounted and sold as a factory second. Come on Posey step it up!

I ordered this product after seeing that it matched the type of gait belt that I used while an inpatient in a rehabilitation hospital. I had previously tried the woven gait belt. It has a clasp with teeth for holding them in place. I found this to be awkward and often times i could not get the belt as tight as was desired. With this product, this was not a problem. The belt was easily adjustable and stayed in place once the desired tension was achieved. I was able to use the belt to get in and out of the shower. There is a plastic coating over the belt so that it is waterproof . The ability to where the belt in and out of the shower provides an extra degree of comfort in case there is a slip either going into or out of the shower. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is in need of a gait belt.

The same belt I use as an Acute Care Physical Therapist in the hospital. I bought this one for my grandfather to use in the hospital. Works great and improves safety for my family and caregivers when showering my grandfather

This is similar to the one our PT had in the hospital for my partner's stay. I have more confidence in helping her walk and keep her balance with this belt. I like that it's not cloth so it can easily be sanitized with the wipe of a cloth. It closes tightly and I feel secure that it will stay in place, even when I have to pull from the back to steady her.

This posey is fabulous, much better than a regular cotton gait belt. The best thing about it is the material, it can get wet and is extremely helpful in transferring a patient into the shower. It can be easily cleaned in between patients and is plenty long enough and easy to fasten. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

While this metal buckle is super sturdy, it's not overly easy to put on & tighten up. When compared to a belt with a quick-release buckle, it takes longer to put on -- and it also takes a little longer to remove it. For that reason, we don't use it as much as the cloth FabLife gait belt (with a quick-release buckle) that we also purchased from Amazon.On the other hand, if you're using this gait belt for several different people -- where it has to be constantly adjusted -- this would be a good gait belt to purchase. In addition, the vinyl belt can be easily cleaned (disinfected), and it can be readily cut down to size with a razor knife if you need to make it a little shorter. Unlike a cloth belt, it can't unravel.
