I spent several hours installing this motor into my driver’s door because the existing motor stopped working. Aside from numerous bolts to remove, it was fairly easy to take the door apart. The new motor bolted on with 3 bolts from the stick motor. Then the problems started…This motor wouldn’t fit unless I removed the screw port for the steel brace that connects the door handleTo the door frame. Once the motor was installed, I had to cut away almost an inch of the tempered steel brace because the door panel wouldn’t go back on the door. The steel brace kept hitting the motor. No matter how I angled or bent the panel, it simply wouldn’t go. Once I cut the brace, it went on easily. As if all that wasn’t bad enough, things got worse when I tested the motor. The polarity was backwards from the stock motor and all the other motors on my car windows. 3 windows go up when you pull the button up and go down when you push the button down. However, this motor works in reverse from that. Down is up and up is down. I will add that there is no way to connectThe wires improperly. Each wiring harness has a uniquely sized fitting on the end and the wires can only plug in to one port that has a matching receptical. And there were only 3 sets of wires that were all VERY different from each other so it’s not like I installed a wire backwards. The fittings would break before they would click together backwards. Please, whatever you do, don’t buy this motor for a Nissan maxima. I’m sure I could return the part if I want to tear the door apart again, pull the motor, ship it back, and put the door back together. Unfortunately, I don’t have a spare day to waste doing all that so that I can get a $45 refund. My time is worth much, much more than $45. And that is just to get to the point where Inget a refund and still have a window without a working motor! No thank you, goodbye, never again. I hope this company goes out of business. I would have been better off removing the stock motor and having no window motor than the headache I am now left with trying to resolve.
