Your cart is empty.Stainless Steel Western Dee with Sweet Iron Comfort Snaffle (MB 03) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes. About the mouthpiece: the 03 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. When the reins are engaged, the 03 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll. The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the horse’s mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue. The curve makes more room for the horse’s tongue under the bit. The barrel in the center is the same width as the center piece on a traditional three-piece mouthpiece so applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue. However, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly than the traditional centerpiece and also creates the Independent Side Movement . The 03 is identical to the 02 except for a copper roller on the center barrel which can comfort horses that are restless or nervous. For more tongue relief, step up to the 04. This bit is of terrible quality. It was rusting a couple of weeks after I bought it and showed scratches in areas where the horse had been biting. I have had several bits of several brands for many years and used them regularly and have never seen that happen to any of my other bits. My horse does not like using it anymore, I guess the flavor is not ok for him, so I have discontinued its use, of course. A waste of money!

I love Mylar bits. I have several. Got this to teach my younger horse because this bit offers direct communication. I used it on my 13 year old and she was side passing in minutes. And I never taught her that.

I have this one plus a western curb. Love them. Super quality and my horse seems happier with the comfort mouth style bits.

Myler bits mean QUALITY!! This is the 2nd Myler bit I've purchased. My horses LOVE them. They fit in the mouth perfectly!! My mare keeps her mouth closed because its COMFORTABLE!! And answers to the slightest cue! DON'T THINK TWICE ---- JUST BUY IT!!!

My horses all like this bit. I ended up having to buy 3 more so everyone could have their own bridle. They stay soft, attentive and no gaping.
