First off, the blades are definitely very sharp. No complaints there! But ... I've not actually found this all that useful for making sliced meat, because the "cup" you place meat in is so small, you have to cut your meat up to fit in it and end up with small (to me) slices. To me, it's just quicker to slice the meat at the size I want with a knife. Having said that, this IS useful for mincing meat! Cutting up meat to fit into the cup, then slice it, turn the meat, slice again, minced meat done! This is much, much faster than just using a knife and end up with nice evenly cut up minced meat.Which brings me to the next point I'd like to make: This does not grind meat; it minces meat. There is a difference, especially in the texture of the meat. Ground meat is masticated in a way that minced meat is not. This doesn't mean you can't use this to grind up some beef to make a burger (it'll be quite yummy, tbh), but the meat won't "stick" together as well as properly ground meat does.I also found that the suction cup isn't very strong. My countertop is Formica, so suction cups stick better than on a granite or other types of counters, yet I still I have to reseat the suction cups every few slices, which is a bit of a hassle, but not that much of a hassle.Overall, if you are looking to mince meat, this works very well. If you don't mind small sized sliced meat, you'll also like this.

So, downside first, it's kind of small. As in, one piece of meat is about 1 good serving (granted, we don't like tiny portions) for one person.Outside of that, it cuts well and the slices are just right for carne asada or doing tacos. You can also set the blades for 1 of 2 different thicknesses. It has a suction base that is easy to set and holds really well, even when putting some force behind it. There have been a couple of times that it lost it over time and needed to be reset, but it's not generally an issue. Essentially, it holds perfectly or it needs to be reset but there is no scooting, which is nice.I love this slicer! I just wish it held about 3 times the volume. But, I'm feeding a family. For a couple, it's probably just about right.
I'm a Mc.

This product is a great kitchen tool to have! It will slice and dice your meats when preparing a meal with ease. We love cooking Asian dishes. So whether it's Japanese sushi or Chinese recipes cooked in a wok, or Korean Bulgogi, or a Thai curry, this meat slicer does it all! You can even make perfect slices for preparing your own jerky which we take with us during our camping and hiking expeditions. The meats can be sliced to different thicknesses depending on your cut. There are up to 17 blades that can be used. I will caution everyone that the blades are very sharp! A couple of important things to take note of - This is a manual slicer, not electric. When you slice, you must keep the blades level, not at an angle - very easy once you've done it a couple times. The base has a suction cup to keep the slicer from sliding when using. It's easy to clean because it comes with two safety brush cleaners that you should absolutely use for safety purposes. Be sure to place the safety cover securely on the blades before storing. The only downside is that it's smaller than I would like, which means larger chunks of meat will need to be cut down to size in order to fit into the slicer. It's a bit tricky using the slicer the very first time, but nothing too complicated. Follow the directions closely and you won't have any problem. I think this is a quality product, useful, durable, and a kitchen accessory that will make your life easier for preparing the perfect cuts for your next meal!

I did not read that part when ordered and got stuck with some ham. Lol.I tried later with chicken and meat and it works really well. The tool works well, easy to clean and it has 2 different cut options. Might not be what I was looking for, but it will help avoid manual shredding.

OYKEFAW Manual Fresh Meat Slicer:In hopes of making yummy deli sandwiches while avoiding the nitrates associated with processed deli meat, I bought this. Things didn’t work out the way I had hoped. This nifty cutter is after all designed for cutting raw meat not cooked as, the well documented instruction manual full of step by step photographs indicate. Here I have sliced raw turkey breast thin slices on the left side thicker slices on the right side. This cutter was as easy as cutting warm butter. The instructions also show how to slice again to create a burger/grind style cut. I did not do that, but I can see how easy and well it would perform that job.I did try to slice cooked turkey breast anyway. That time it did not cut easy or well. The blades cut and tore the slices in a somewhat sloppy manner. Second picture was cooked turkey. On the left pile is what the cutter did, on the right pile was cut by hand the old fashioned way.Using old school tools has a kind of sentimental comfort to them. Shoving bits of meat into a grinder clamped to the table, or using a blade to carve the perfect slice. These type of experiences are dear to my heart. Yet I must admit, this plastic and steel gadget IS actually a better way. Why? Clean up is SO fast and easy. I don’t have to unscrew several bolts or wash several odd shaped metal disks that take forever to dry. Its ability to make a ground meat rivals every grinder out there. Also it does not weigh a ton and packs up small. It does not come with a storage bag. But it size and shape is similar to a grater and not bulky.
