I wanted a longer cord or cable from my tablet to the mic, and this cord works perfectly for birding. Under 5 min the tablet recorded all the species of birds that were at the feeders. I plugged the jack directly into the tablet. For the other tablet, I will use this connector with the cord so it will work.https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0849RB9BT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleI had hoped being that it was a longer cord than the very short one (a/n) that the tablet and the Merlin App would still pick up the birds that were in the distance (at the feeders) and it did exactly that. The longer cord/cable will hopefully prevent the short connector (see a/n link) would not fray anymore due to a lot of stress being put on it when trying to set up the mic to be a ways from the tablet. 5/5 stars!

I use this to boom my mic from my camera. And it works great. Doesn’t have any affect on the sound, and is a good option for anyone.

I hope this brand make same quality in braided cables in the future, quality is good, not noisy, and feels professional, but I hope to find this brand making braided cables in the future.

So, starting this review: it does the job I need and it does it well. Super affordable and makes my life so much easier. I wanted to use the audio equipment I had to increase sound quality in my videos. Well, I had a RODE shotgun mic and I bought a freestanding boom pole to attach it to. The only problem then? Obviously, connection. This cord did just the trick and if you're wondering if it works well DSLR to Shotgun mic - the answer is yes. My only critique is on my own part and that's that I wish I had bought a longer one.

Love it. Connected my Rode Videomic Pro to my Canon 60 D. Used this extension so I can have my Rode mic on a boom stand and closer to the sunject. From what I can tell, the audio sounds just as good with the extension as it does connected directly to my camera. No quality was lost. Also, I must note that the wire is thicker than a simple head phone wire and feels very reliable. Highly recommend it, and I will probably buy another just in case I need more length.

This is an absolute must have if you will be doing any sort of video with a lapel mike. This allowed us to extend our reach a good 6 feet or sot from the standard Lapel Clip-on omnidirectional mic. Fittings were nice and tight, and over a couple days of usage, we never had any problem with the fittings slipping, and no connection issues whatsoever.HOWEVER! If I were to do this again, I would spring for a good 25 foot cable. When you have 10 feet, you have to remember that 3-6 feet of that will be taken up by the drop from the lapel mic and the rise to the camera. With a 10 foot cable, that is a high percentage. The cables are only a couple dollars different.
