Rated for 203F, opens close to 220F during warmup then hangs around 213F when cruising, 230F when slow speeds. Recommend doing the water boil test on your stove before installing. Swapped out for the Ultrastat which seems to be working ok.

I bought this because I was replacing the housing and thought I might as well put in a new thermostat as well. Since then the car heats up much quicker than it did before, so I'm guessing the old one was actually failing. In any case, it maintains a solid temperature of around 96 degrees as it should. I've happy

Everything worked great in the beginning and the coolant temp was hovering around 203. Now the spring has weakened and it is opening too early and is over-cooling the engine. Coolant temp never exceeds 193F while cruising. Defect after only 9 months.
