If you wash this producer the pad will fall apart inside and you can’t use it ever again.

I use this for hockey. You definitely shouldn't stand in front of a slapshot and expect this to protect you, but this does provide important padding around key areas. If I were silly enough to play hockey without a chest pad, I do think this would help with some general puck bouncing around, or the occasional player impact. I do wish the center chest pad was larger, to cover a bigger portion of heart, lungs, and ribs. Right now it serves as collarbone cushion. The padding on the sides and spine is good (though I wish the spine padding was higher). The shirt is tight fitting, keeping those pads in their proper places.

As an Ice Hockey Goalie, you need the right balance of protection and mobility. This padded shirt extended the life of my current chest protector and saved me money from having to upgrade to a more bulky chest protector to match the level of protection.What I like most about this padded shirt is that the padding doesn't move. Hockey is a fast-moving sport and equipment can shift on you at any given moment based upon the play. Moving laterally or having to make a sudden change of direction exposes you to injury the higher level you play.This padded shirt has saved me from the typical "black and blues" I would leave with after a game or practice and allows me to play with confidence knowing I am fully protected.Not only would this shirt benefit goalies, but also position players who tend to block shots.The care instructions that came with this shirt was a nice added touch.

I wear this for hockey, this thing protects me where my shoulder pads don't. Particularly around my collar bones and kidneys.It fits a little small, I may have gotten one size larger, but it also needs to fit snug under my pads.
