It's difficult to give this product an honest review. We ordered the size according to the sizing chart and hoped our son could use it as summer goalie gear. While the midsection, length, and overall fit were good, the arms were cut and stitched in a strange, tight way. This severely restricted his movement, making it impractical for practice, let alone games.That said, the quality seems top-notch, and the padding appears to offer excellent protection without being overly bulky or cumbersome. If the arm issue could be addressed, this could be a great option for athletes seeking padded protection.

The material was not very smooth, and the collarbone pads were too small to cover the collarbone. I had to cut out underarm material because the stitching was rough and rubbed against my skin.Update: The seller reached out and offered a refund. I appreciate this gesture.

The biggest issue is the shoulder pads; they stick up higher than they should. The back pads also don't sit right. The stitching around the armpit area is scratchy to the point of giving marks. Overall, my son was disappointed in this padded shirt for High School Football. The only positives are that the padding around the chest is durable, and the sides fit correctly.
