Padding does absolutely nothing and as far as comfort it feels like u are wearing a diaper. I would never recommend this product.

Bought this to use on my exercise bike and are great for that. They also ended up working great for use on my motorcycle for long trips. Cushion and better air flow.

Bought these for bagger/touring motorcycle use. If there's Gel in the cheek area pads, I can't feel it when checking by finger pressure. The crotch area holds in the heat and the pads make walking weird, so I cut out the inner liner and small pads. Those pads are made of foam, not gel. If the cheek pads are in the correct position they do help a little with not being saddle sore.

I did a 51 mile bike ride last weekend wearing these for the first time. I’m not gonna say there was not any discomfort after 51 miles, but certainly not like there was when I didn’t have them. Try them you’ll like them and also like that I can wear any other shorts that I choose instead of being stuck with just wearing bike shorts when I ride. Great value for the money I intend to buy more.
