I used these for a horizontal door that leads to steps. It already had a nautical theme going and these were perfect. Very very shiny and heavy enough that they can handle a 3 by 3 foot wooden door. Very good hinges.

I've been using boat hardware for our van conversion when I can. You know it's going to be the best because a boat is out in the worst of the elements. And a lot of care is put into building a boat. Boats look good, they use good materials. These look good and are thick and sturdy.

These things showed up in a small bubble mailer about 4 x 4" in size. I went to pick it up and was SHOCKED at how heavy it was. Opened it up to find it was these hinges had arrived. Well made, have a good polish to them without any sharp edges. The hinges open and close smoothly and are EXTREMELY heavy duty in construction. I cant think of any application they wouldnt hold up to even with extreme duty use. Top notch for the price. Highly recommend.

The “ODYSUNRAL Marine Boat Hatch Hinges Stainless Steel, 3 inch x 1.5 inches (76 x 38mm) 5 Holes, No Noise, Heavy Duty 316 Stainless Steel with Screws (4 PCS)” arrived in a timely manner in individual bubble wrappers along with a separate bag of stainless flathead screws. These heavy duty strap hinges can operate through 280 degrees of motion. A strap hinge is used where it is exposed on the swing out side and the door and frame are on the same plane. This hinge has unequal straps and is used where there is restricted room on the frame side. The material is 3/16-inch thick. This is far stronger than stamped hinges. The frame-side strap is 0.75 inches from the pivot point and measures 1.5-inches high. It has two countersunk mounting holes. The longer strap measures 2.2 inches and has three mounting holes. The hinges are investment cast, machined, the pin inserted and polished in the same fashion as surgical instruments. The set of four is as described in the online information. Instructions are not included. The screws provided are for wood and similar soft materials. Different screws can be obtained that are suitable for metal or fiberglass. There are many alternate uses for the set of four hinges. They are useful in campers, pool areas, commercial and outdoor kitchens. This strong, high quality hardware kit is a good value. finally a set of high enough quality for my project I have been looking for hinge and latch hardware for a long time for a project using some nice 100+ year old oak barn wood to create a shotgun box. Finally, I found these hinges that are worthy of the potential of that wood. These hinges, and screws, are indeed made out of some kind of Stainless Steel alloy. Of course, you need to choose the correct fastener for the application. I prefer through fasteners with a locking washer and locking nut.
