There is one indicator light. It is the illuminated red power button. It's a simple design that works. The light flashes when the battery is low. The light flashes when charging and stays solid when fully charged. There are two laser modes. Manual mode (constant on). Pulse mode. Like other laser levels, there is a switch to lock the laser in place for storage. Toggling the switch unlocks the level. When on and unlocked the laser will flash if the body is too far off either the X or Y axis. These are all typical features and match my other laser level. However, my other laser level allowed me to choose between the vertical line, horizontal line, or a combination of both. This level shows vertical and horizontal all the time.Contrary to a marketing description bullet point there is no 'Rotary Laser' (as in a literal 360-degree projection rotating laser). It is a static forward-facing laser. There are also no instructions for the stated '4 Adjustable Brightness Modes for Versatility'. No matter how I tapped or held the button there was no change in brightness. The good news is that the brightness and visibility of the green laser is on par with my other green laser level. It works fine indoors where I am using it.Unlike my other laser level, this Magpie Vader laser level has a built-in rechargeable battery. A USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included for recharging using its USB-C port. I like that I don't have to burn through batteries. However, this takes it out of commission while recharging. It does work when the charging cable is connected but I can't tell if it's charging while on because there is no battery level indicator. I had it on for about eight hours and it is still going. That is essentially the 8.5 hours advertised and enough for a full day's work. I am impressed. I just need to charge it the night before I need it.It's tripod-ready and comes with a magnetic L bracket that also has a nail hole for hanging. The laser level has a textured plastic body and overall it feels solid. The clear laser window seems to be polycarbonate and feels sturdy. It continued to work when dropped a couple of times from a couple of feet. The zipper case is nice and stores everything.I think this simple laser level is a good value that will save me money on batteries.

This provides effective leveling for daily use. You do have to buy a stand if your wanting to use it in different rooms since there not always a way of sticking it with the magnets onto the area your tricking to level. The laser light is very bright and extends really far. The one draw back of this is the blinking. I read the direction booklet and there was not any way to stop it from blinking. It holds a charge for a long time so less worries about it dying. As for the price in my option is on the higher end and the fact you need to get a stand adds up in pricing. Overall easy to work.

This laser level is bright, built to take some abuse, and has both manual and auto leveling modes. The laser is very bright green and comes with both a vertical and horizontal axis. The included bracket can be attached via a standard tripod type screw in socket, and is magnetic, with enough power in the magnets to hold it in place. The laser is class 2, which means that you should not look directly into it if it can be avoided. Is considered safe to have the lasers shining your eyes for up to 3 seconds, but that is of course not recommended. The level is rechargeable, and has decent battery life. It also comes with a carrying case that lets you put it in with the bracket still attached. It is a good quality tool, easy to use, with good battery life and is a good value for the price.

This is an excellent crosshair laser leveler that projects a bright beam across a distance of 20 feet. It features two modes: manual and auto-leveling. You can enter manual mode by pressing the button on top. While this mode does not have auto-leveling capabilities, it allows you to aim the laser at any angle. The second mode is the auto-leveling mode. To activate this, simply switch the orange button on the side forward to unlock the internal mechanism of the laser. This is my favorite mode, as I can trust that the horizontal and vertical lines are accurate. I confirmed that the leveler mounts securely on my tripod using a 1/4-inch screw. I also appreciate the convenience of the magnetic mounting bracket, which allows me to use it without a tripod if I'm near any metal surfaces. The bracket enables a full 360-degree swivel so I can position the crosshairs precisely where I need them.Charging the leveler is straightforward. A 4-hour charge provides about 10 hours of use, which is impressive. One thing to note is that while charging, the red LED on top (in the button) will slowly pulse, and when fully charged, the LED will stay on steadily. I do wish it were red while charging and green when fully charged.Did I mention that it comes in a handy waterproof bag? It even has a carabiner to clip it to my toolbox. In summary, this high-quality laser leveler is offered at a reasonable price. I wish I had this when I was installing my flooring, mounting my pictures, and installing my new wall-mounted medicine cabinet. But I'm ready for my new projects.

I can’t figure this thing out I bought it thinking it would be a nice little laser and would help me level some things but it just flashes and doesn’t have a solid line and it’s very difficult to level with its very bright and the light is nice but I just can’t use it
