Be honest, not real sure what to say here. These are a strong enough metal, hooks on one side and eyelets on the other. For my project they will work well as I intend to use them for shade sail, attaching springs and these tensioners to place it. They aren't as big as I'd understood from the product page. Tho this isn't from any issue with the manufacturing. The overall quality of them seem good.

I was very surprised when I received these to find such high quality turnbuckles at such a low price. These work perfectly except for the need to add a bit of oil to the screws to facilitate tightening these adequately. But that is true for most of the tensioners I have worked with, so I did not take off any points. I am using these to provide tension on cables that hold down our gazebo in the wind. For that purpose, they work perfectly. They do not loosen over time like some.

These turnbuckles are exactly what I need to hold up my sail shades. The loop end connects to a carabiner that connects to the pad eye. It will not come off in high wind. The hook endis required to tighten the sail. The threads on these turnbuckles are lightly greased. Overall, they are very strong and high quality.

There is a bit of play on the bolt sections of the turnbuckle. The middle parts aren't machined with precision and appeared to be somewhat curvy and asymmetrical. They don't have a nut on either end to lock the turnbuckle in place. If you want the use this outside for like a trellis wire, you might have issues with this loosening in the wind. Also, the packaging was not appropriate for the length of these. When I opened the box, the envelope containing the turnbuckles was open on one side and only 5 of the 6 were inside. I looked through all the packaging and believe one came out at the in the warehouse or shipping somewhere.Overall, I think these are low quality but an excellent price and will get the job done.

These are better quality than I expected - something I don't say very often. The body is well made, smooth and without sharp spots, the ends are properly threaded where they don't wobble due to poor tolerance, and the loop is welded to keep it from opening under pressure. I am using these in an exposed greenhouse, and they are perfect for tensioning the stainless cables I use.

Ordered these to beef up my 11,000 sq/ft dog corral. We wanted to add some additional support between corner 4"x4" 's. Our design consists of stainless steel cable transitioning from post to post with the addition of one of these turnbuckles at each junction for tightening. Each of these turnbuckles is of the hook and eye type which provides versatility and outstanding strength. The stainless steel used in production is 304 grade that has a very low amount of carbon steel in it that insures superior corrosion resistance. This turned out to be just the right fix to shore up all the trouble spots. My only caveat with this product is some deformity in about half of the barrel parts (nothing to effect strength and my usage). Obviously some quality control issues in the machinery. Good product and great price. 👍
