There are 195 songs in the book, excluding most "cover songs" (with the pleasant exception of "Twist and Shout"), "Revolution 9", and "Flying" from the original records. Otherwise, the songs included are complete. There are also a number of surprise entries from the Anthology series - including "What's the New Mary Jane?", "If You've Got Trouble", etc. Some are surprisingly simple to play for beginners ("Paperback Writer" has just three chords!) - some are not ("Michelle" has no less than sixteen chords). Some use more complex variations of familiar favorites. I keep encountering a three-finger variation of the "C" chord, for example... although many use the standard C.Even if you are a beginner, there are enough songs in here you can try straight away, and lots more to practice and learn. As for the size of the book - it is roughly the same dimensions as a "mass market" paperback (The kind you still see in drug and grocery stores). As such, the print is small. Also, it is a challenge to keep the book open while you're playing along. I resorted to snapping a picture of some pages with my phone, and then following along to that. (I didn't see a "Kindle" edition available, but this book would greatly benefit thatformat.Otherwise - a great little book for Beatle-loving ukulele players.

The title should be a giveaway ("LITTLE Black Book of Beatles Songs") but it never hit me until I got it in my hands that the book itself would be tiny. I don't get it - just because the ukulele is small, your eyeballs don't shrink. The chords, lyrics, and chord boxes are all great, they're just WAY too small to read. I have to wear 3x reading glasses to see them. This book would be 5 stars if it simply had normal size pages. (I wonder: if they wrote a book for grand piano, would they make it the size of a sheet of plywood?)

One of my favorite music books of all time. I've been using this one for about seven years now and LOVE IT. It's a great way to learn more chords as I have fun strumming out the Beatles tunes that are so familiar. Accuracy and quality of the transcriptions is outstanding.A few things to know -- but not worthy of taking off a star: - The binding is a little tight, even after seven years. I use two extra-large binder clips to help keep the book open on my music stand. - The print is small, but I love the portability. This book has been on lots of vacations. - The editors went for accuracy, so this book has songs that range from pretty easy to somewhat challenging. But even when I was brand new to the instrument, I could play plenty of songs. It has grown with me as I've improved and it's been so much fun to have more songs open up to me. There are still many I look forward to tackling as my skills improve. In terms of cost per hour of entertainment, this is the best deal on the planet.

Ukulele players will sound pretty cool when they can play Beatles' songs! I like that there are little hints for every song. Plus I found one of my favorites: Oh Blah Dee, Oh Blah Dah! It will be fun working my way through.

The book is compact and small print. So if you wanted large print this is not for you. Otherwise it’s a great collection

Great little book ... sized just right for taking anywhere. The spine is a bit stiff, so it doesn't want to stay open to your selected page, but I assume this will lessen over time, and probably means it's going to be quite durable. The songs and chord arrangements are offered in the original keys, except for a few, which are noted with required transposition. Some of the chords seem to be hastily chosen (as though quickly converted from the same-name guitar chord without actually testing), and could be substituted with a more playable/better-voiced alternate, but for the most part, they're just right. With only a few exceptions, all songs are printed such that no page-turning is required. That's a much-appreciated feature! The only down side I can see is that there is no printed melody, as would generally be the format with a fake book (chords/melody/lyrics). If you don't know the melody, you have to go find a source to learn it. Not a huge problem ... I knew this before I purchased it, so it doesn't factor into my rating, but it would be so much better with the melody included. It's a fun book to have if you like the Beatles music ... the price is right, and it fits in just about any bag, Can't go wrong here ...

195 Beatles songs with Ukulele chords! I bought the guitar version when it first came out, but the uncommon chords make sight reading for the uke somewhat difficult. This is everything you could hope for in a uke version. The chord diagrams are right at the top to review before starting in. The binding is what you'd find in a hardback book. Bend it as flat as you;d like. You're probably not going to break it. The book is laid out to all but eliminate page flipping. Songs that take up two pages start on the left-hand page. The only time you have to flip is for the very few songs that take up 3 pages.
