Needed a bit that I couldn’t find at the local hardware stores besides their prices were were a few dollars more plus they were for the 1/4” shafts!

Most people don't know how to uses these tools and they may break if you push the material or router through too fast.I used it on a fixed router, cut a 3/4" groove through a pine board (7/16" deep) on both sides of the board. It did not break, and I recommend this bit.

Purchased this bit after a different bit broke on first cut. This one held up for all work needed to do. Cut smoothly through oak. Excellent bit for the cost.

Excellent router bit. Kempton didn't skimp in building this. Specks to exactly it's stated size, nicely coated to help keep it clean, perfect edge, right out of the box. Satin smooth finish on an oak project, with a little deeper then normal cut, and no burn. This is my first Kempston bit, but I won't hesitate to order more in the future.

I have not had an opportunity to use this router bit as yet, but I have purchased and used Kempston bits in the past and was quite satisfied with them.

I had never heard of Kempston router bits but was compelled to buy this bit because of its price and the fact that they were shipping to India. The nice thing about Kempston is that like CMT and Axminister it ships bits in hard plastic containers, which prevent damage during transit and make for handy storage. The Kempston bits are coloured yellow like CMT bits are coloured organge. I tried the bit and found it made a pretty good cut. However, I encountered some chatter when the bit was being used for all its two inch cutting length. A solid carbide spiral bit produced no chatter at all in comparison. But the Kempston bit produced a sharp, crisp edge. Excellent for its price. Just have to see how long it lasts and keep giving sharp edges.
