The missing gas cap holder has appeared!It's a small thing really, but for taco owners, there's no place to put the gas cap when refueling. Sure, you can stretch the tether into the door latch but that seems like your introducing unnecessary wear into that mechanism. Many people just let the cap hang but then it's on the paint. Enter this gadget. This slips into the gas refueling door and creates a cradle for the cap. Perfect!

This little gas cap holder is a small upgrade that makes a big difference. No more dangling gas cap or trying to balance it on the fuel door. The aluminum feels solid, and installation took seconds. Definitely worth it for Tacoma owners who want a simple fix.

BOTTOM LINE: One of the easiest items to install you'll ever order. Back out the OEM screw that holds your Taco fuel hatch lock, fit the JOYTUTUS gas cap holder to the inner hatch frame, along the right side (it has slots to hold it firmly in place); align the hole in the left side of the JOYTUTUS gas cap holder to the hatch lock screw hole, reinstall & tighten the OEM screw... and you're done!THOUGHTS: This JOYTUTUS gas cap holder is really nice; it's made from a solid piece of aluminum that's powder coated with an even flat black finish.I've always tried to hook the plastic "cord" thingy of my Taco gas cap into the factory hatch spring hooks, but it occasionally slips out, dropping down against the side of the bed, sometimes swinging back & forth. YIKES! Hate it when that happens; always worried it will scratch the factory paint! Not a worry anymore; the JOYTUTUS gas cap holder has threads that allow you to semi-screw your gas cap into the holder, so it cannot pop out. It's actually quite robust; smacking it with my hand and jiggling the truck bed up & down would not dislodge the gas cap from this nifty little holder. Fuel hatch opens & closes normally after installation with no fitment issues whatsoever. Nice!This is a very easy HIGH RECOMMENDATION if you're concerned about keeping your Tacoma looking good. It's a 2-minute no-brainer install ...and stout enough to last the life of the vehicle.

I would give this 5 stars if the gas cap actually fit the product. It’s still useful for for the price you would think it would be a good fit. Build quality is good. It did have an easy of installation but the functionality suffers. Seems like it needs to be a big bigger.

I replaced a different gas cap holder with this one and this one is a definite upgrade. This installation was easy, just unscrew the bolt holding the clip on the fuel door, place this cap holder into position the use the same bolt to secure it to the fuel door. It fits perfectly on my 2019 Tacoma. Took less than 5 minutes. Now when refueling there's a handy gas cap holder to secure the cap away from the vehicle. Very nice add on item.

After my first fill-up, I realized how silly it was that the '23 Tacoma doesn't come with a gas cap holder. After looking, I found this one that fits the bill and is sure to last for a while. I'm impressed with the build quality and the ease of installation. I had it installed within five minutes of opening the package, even though it was pitch black outside. It looks great and does an excellent job of holding the cap instead of resting against the body. Overall, I would definitely buy it again.
