Got these for my 14" Porter Cable Band Saw. I put them in a pot of boiled water first. It's a tight fit, but no problem.

Easy to install. Ready to boil in water but though I’d give it a try without. With a little effort it stretched. Just had to hook the inside edge of the wheel so the tire would stay on while stretching. Jet wheel 198242

As part of a face-lift on my 14" Delta 28-274c, I put these new tires on. Granted, the old ones were in pretty bad shape, but now the bandsaw is quieter, better tracking, and less vibration just as advertised.I warmed them up in hot water and they went on fairly easily. I used a clamp, then worked it over the wheel with a pair of screwdrivers as you would a car tire onto a rim.

As the title suggests, follow the directions and boil these to soften them up enough to stretch. A 2nd set of hands will help get them on, l didnt have that option. They do have to fit tightly anyway but they fit and woek as intended.

Once properly warmed up the bands went on easily and once cool were very secure.

The urethane saw tire is not a complicated product. This one is just fine. The diametral fit was tight, as it's supposed to be. I chose to install it by removing the 14 inch wheel from my saw (a single bolt and it slid right off) and clamp the wheel in a vice so I could use both hands and a large round shank screwdriver to stretch and guide the tire onto the wheel rim.

No issues installing it and can’t see any wobble in the blade. Highly recommended for the price.

Installation is difficult. Soften it in boiling water (not warm water). Use your hand and foot to stretch it. Then be prepared to still apply significant force to install the tire on the wheel. I mostly installed it, put each palm on it and used my thumb to push it on. There is a lip on the wheel rim. I used a small screwdriver to get under it and then push it over the lip. You'll see. But my refurb is done. Works great again. Should have been done 10 years ago.

Fitted these as a replacement tires my wheel was 14 1/4 " so a little bit tight . Followed a post on you tube by Tim B on fitting using a drill to stretch the tire as it is fitted no soaking in hot water or soap required. It worked for me took about 30 mins for both wheels. Look it up. As for the tires seem to be ok time will tell how durable they are.

I like not having to use any adhesive to install them! As for 'ease of installation, ( not so easy)But the instruction say to soak the belts in hot water for a little while and try to install them while they are still warm and flexible! Well I did all that and it still was a fight to get them installed on the wheels of my band saw. But hey, taking the good and the bad, it is a verygood product. and they fit perfectly on the 14" wheels of my band saw. If ever needed again, I would buy them in an instant!

These are great, high-quality bandsaw tires - once you get them on your bandsaw wheels. Therein lies the rub..For all practical purposes, these are delivered in a "baggie" with next-to-zero instructions other than the acknowledgement that they are "undersized" and might need to be soaked in "warm water." Say what???.OK, from trial and error, here's how to do it:.1. Put these tires in a plastic dish large enough to hold them both plus enough water to cover them.2. Cook them in your microwave on HIGH through a series of 60 seconds cycles, repeated enough times (5 in my case) to get the water to near boil.3. From here on, one person CAN do this, but extra hands will be welcome....4. Rush this pot of steaming tire-soup to your band saw, remove the first tire and stretch it as far as you can before shoehorning it onto your bandsaw wheel. Put some muscle in the stretching operation; you won't break it.5. When the tire cools-in-place, it will shrink to a tight fit.6. Repeat for the second tire quickly (before it and the soup cools).7. Enjoy your success!.I expect these things to last much longer than the OEM rubber tires they are replacing. But I'll bet rubber tires would stretch much more easily - and be easier to install..With a little more useful instruction (e.g., a link to an installation video), I'd give these tires all 5 stars.
