How to install

First, After disassembling old "tires", clean up the gummy debris left on the wheels.

Mounting:

Used a clamp to hold the tire on the wheel in one spot, and then used a screwdriver to pry the rest of the tire on. This made installation relatively easy

Uniform stretch:

After mounting, removed the clamp and pushed the shaft of the screwdriver completely under the tire, so it was between the tire and rim. Then ran the screwdriver around the wheel several times to make sure the tire was uniformly stretched around the wheel.

Seating the tire:

Next, made sure the tires were properly seated in the groove on the wheels, rolled the wheel on a concrete floor, pushing down pretty hard with your hands, so the concrete would forced the tire into the groove.

After mounting, reinstalled the wheels and readjusted everything, finish!

✅Urethane band saw tires no adhesive needed, but need to be stretched on. If your new band saw tire is too tight to fit onto the wheel, submerged the new tire under hot water for a few minutes, this will make things easier.

Amazon delivered these about a month ago. I finally got a chance to put them on. I think the key is is to take the wheels off at least on my meat saw. Did they slide right on well heck no 😳🤣. I put them in the sink full of hot water. Put it on about 3/4 of the way and clamped it so it wouldn't come off... Then I pried the rest on to the wheel. Good and tight that's what you want!

These look great and fit the diameter of my Rikon 10-305, but were too wide. It took me a while to trim them to the correct width. Trimming was harder that I expected. Hopefully they won't fray or split due to my handiwork. If you have a Rikon 10-305 and don't mind spending time trimming these, they're a good buy. Otherwise you may want to spend a little extra $$ and get bandsaw tires that are pre-trimmed for the 10-305.

They went on without having to glue... I have an old 1950s Montgomery Wards saw now working as it did when new...

Great product but a pain to get on. The trick I found is counter intuitive buts works great. Start by placing the tire on the FRONT lip and then slip it on. If you start by trying to put the tire on the back lip first, it slips off towards you every time. The front lip first and then work it on to the back and it won’t slip off.
