I got this to smooth out a rough 1 3/8" faucet opening in a granite countertop. Although too fine a grit, practically speaking, it nonetheless wore down the 'jaggedy's" of the rough faucet hole in a 3cm granite countertop. I should've gotten a coarser grit like 100. But I was impressed that even this 240 fine grit made a difference. Also comes in a totally pro collapsible storage container like better SDS hammer drill bits come in. That's a small but nice bonus that many vendors don't include anymore--they just throw it in a plastic bag, staple it shut, and off it goes for shipping.

Straight out of the box, these look fine. However, the diamond coating is very thin and not embedded into the metal, so as soon as it wears off, the grinding bit is done.Fine for light jobs, but I won't use it to grind the edges off a granite counter. It does come with a nice little plastic box that holds it securely. I'll probably find some use for the box after the bit has outlived it's usefulness. That was worth another star, so a 3-star bit gets 4 stars total.

I have used to dress a razor edge on an axe and hatchet as well as creating a radius corner on a graniteCountertop. I have sharpened drills , chisels and knives . I use light pressure and a water drip or trickle to lengthen The service life of bonded diamond tools . Just like sand paper they wear out over time.

The diamond coating did not immediately wear of of this tool while repurposing some broken carbide bits into a punches. It worked fine for me, and still has some life left. The shaft on it is not 1/4" so if you're thinking about using it in a 1/4" collet, it wont work.I'm very happy with it.

Excellent tool for roughing out large areas of unwanted material. Then follow up with your smaller bits to carve in precise details.

This tool bit has a nice diamond coating and comes in a case that minimizes shaking around. Seems to be of great quality and I'm pretty pleased with it.

I wondered if it would be decent and it seems like a good little diamond tool It came very well packaged and protected. The grinding bit has a good coating of diamond on the face and the flat rim side. So you can grind hollows or enlarge holes in stone or tile and it can also work as a flat file using the end face. It also has a ring ofcoating on the backside so it can be useful that way also. Just like a stone.Cutting into the face of some marble, it worked well to expand a hole. The diamonds are effective. The final question is how durable is the coating. It will take some time to know. I'll update when it's seen some more use. It should last a while.

I got this tool to help clean up my sharpening choils and plunge grinds which so far it does work for that .And my only complaint is that even on annealed 3v steel the diamonds wore down fast but that is part of working with very tough steels. But for cleaning up edges. this is a decent took I just with the diamond coating was applied in a stronger way .
