Originally got the wheel for sharpening tungsten carbide lathe bits. But this wheel left a rough surface when grinding a carbide boring bit by hand. I did have good results on high speed steel when reducing the diameter of a drill bit that was supported in a jig. I not sure how long the grit will last.

This isn't resin-bond diamond wheel. It's CBN (cubic boron nitride) and is much coarser than extra fine grit 320. I cannot comment on its quality, but the low rating is due to misleading advertisement.

Using this to sharpen tungsten. Adapted wheel to grinder. Does a great job. Highly recommend.

I made a mandrel for this to use on my milling machine to sharpen some specialized cutters. It runs true, and works fine to grind hardened tool steel. I have no idea if it will wear well, but so far, so good.
