Doesn’t work on an iPhone XS Max with a line input. The iPhone mic still activates and ignores this adapter.EDIT: It works! BUT you have to plug it into the start of the cable chain (nearest to iPhone, into lightning adapter) and not the end of the chain. Connected this way disables the internal mic and gives you direct line input recording. Just adjust your input volume and you’re good to go!

It worked 50 50 for me. It would work then it wouldnt. I Dj'ed on Serato & streamed on facebook live. Some times fb live would have direct clean audio and other times nothing.

I bought a Rode SC4 from B&H, and bought this ienza sc4 replacement, but neither one would pass audio into my iphone 11. The Rode SC4 cable would intermittently work, 1 out of every 15 tries, but mostly just triggered the voice control on my phone, but wouldn't pass audio in. I was trying for a solution to get audio into the phone while filming with filmic pro.I ended up getting the saramonic smartrig+DI. the one with the lightning connector. It works flawlessly - It is stupid expensive, but works without failure. Also, the A/D converters on it are garbage, but it does work for timecode and/or direct audio in for syncing video.

Does not work. Creates a loud clicking noise. Save time and aggravation by buying the authentic Rode SC4 from the start.

I purchased this to use with my Samsung S9 and Rode Videomic - Boom, and it works just as you would expect it to! I am happy with this purchase and look forward to being able to use the Videomic with the S9.

I used this setup with a lavalier mic and connected it to my iphone. I have an iPhone X so I had to use the apple lightning adapter as well and it worked great. Good workmanship, should last a while.
