These are 2-sided printed on excellent quality paper. The design has many details but they don’t all have to be colored in to be attractive. I used metallic markers and glitter pens. A couple of years ago I bought the Christmas set and colored them in. Afterwards I used a laminating machine to make more durable placements when we have used ever since at the holidays. Note: certain of the markers showed on the other side. So if it is desired to be able to have both sides colored and the placemats laminated for future use a test of coloring medium is advisable. A fun product at a very reasonable price to entertain yourself and others with.

These were very cute and kept the kids busy for hours working on their coloring. If you want to keep them after they are colored, but before food may spill on them you could always laminate them.

We have been collecting the different holidays and my kids love it. Keeps them busy before food is plated and if they finish up first they cane stay and enjoy a little more coloring. When they get dirty we start new! Fun designs. Paper is very durable. Plus you get a whole bunch so it’s a wonderful value for your money.

These are a good size and sturdy. They will be fun to color for many different ages. Younger kids will have lots of areas to color (read: scribble) and older kids will enjoy the detail. I ordered the Easter placemats, but was sent the 4th of July ones, which was disappointing. I can't comment on the specific design, but the overall product does what it should.

These are described as disposable paper place mats, and you could most certainly use them as paper place mats. But, they essentially function as large coloring sheets, which is also handy to have to keep the kiddies occupied. These are perfect for Easter -- with the bunny, butterflies, chicks, different egg designs, flowers, etc. Just give a child some crayons, and there'll be plenty to color. I was actually thinking of having my toddler son color these and then give them to the grandparents. The sheets are a good size for hanging on the refrigerator. Actually, as an adult, I plan on coloring some of these sheets, too. The different designs on the eggs practically call out for coloring with pastel colors. These are two-sided placemats, so after coloring on one side, you could color on the reverse side. There are 22 sheets in the pack, which is a good number.

I guess I thought these were going to be made out of vinyl or something that a placement would be made out of, but these are just plain old paper. I mean, it's a good idea I suppose to entertain the kiddos, but 'placemats' conjure up a different meaning for me. There is a good variety here, but again, these are just basically large sheets of paper with the same design on them (mine was a map of the United States on one side, and a patriotic design/USA flag on the other). My son will of course love coloring these, but eating on them at dinner time? Probably not. Also, different designs would have greatly been appreciated!
