I like the fact that the material of this rice spoon is clear. Don't know why but it's cool. Overall the spoon works as expected it picks up a good amount and the rice doesn't stick to it, making it easy to clean. My only complain is that I wish the edge of the bottom of the spoon would be more rounded maybe a bit thicker just because I feel if I push the spoon to deep it will scratch my non stick pot. Still it works well.

This is a lot better then the other rice paddle we bought in Japan. It is a bit larger as well, which is great for larger portions. I especially enjoy the nice stand it has on the bottom, so it doesn't touch any surface. Well made, good quality, and has not had any staining using it with different types of Indian/Thai rice dishes. Great price for the quality and craftsmanship.

I am not sure when my rice paddle walked off but it made using my rice cooker annoying for a bit till I found this ideal replacement. This is just the right size and actually fits perfectly into the paddle holder on the cooker. It works great and I am thrilled to have it back in use again.

This arrived from the vendor in a nice branded box with the paddle inside with a sleeve over it.We admit it’s pretty to look at, & the fact it has a little foot to hold it up off your counter is a nice consideration. But we’ve grown accustomed to the weight of the usual rice serving spoons — this one feels like it should have more bulk to work like we’d prefer it to.It’s okay, but we’ll go back to our old faithfuls.

I have a rice cooker. It came with a rice scoop. So why would I need this one? Well, great question. I mean how many rice scoops does one person need? Turns out the scoop that came with my rice cooker was made out of black plastic. Some black plastics are extremely harmful. Who knows if the cheap plastic scoop with my rice maker was made from the really bad plastics, but why risk it when there are great, perfectly performing clear plastic scoops like this one. I know, I know. You might be thinking plastic is plastic, get a non plastic scoop. You might be right. but plastic is durable, cheap, and light and has a place, we should just be mindful about what types we use. This scoop is made of food grade TPX, which - based on some praying to google - looks like it is perhaps better at not leaching things into your food. It has been approved by not one but three government agencies (Japan, U.S., EU).Design wise, it's similar to the one that came with my rice maker but larger. and clear. It works. Get it.

I got this because the product description touted that the rice will not stick to this battle. I was initially doubtful when seeing all the little ridges on it. For the most part , the rice does not stick but I still have brown rice that sticks to it. I would say this works about the same as my glossy finish rice paddle that I had been using. The raised ridges on this paddle do make it a little more difficult to wash off than the glossy version.

I love rice but it is very sticky! So this special paddle works wonderfully to keep the rice from clumping up as you're serving it. The handle is easy to hold and it's easy to wash after you're done. I don't put it in the dishwasher but it looks dishwasher safe. There is a handy little nub on the bottom side of the paddle so you can rest it on a counter without having to use a spoon rest. I like that feature a lot. The spoon is super sturdy and sorta transparent.
