Use the old male gear that fits into the female gear that is fixed on the door. The new one didn't align/fit it was a different pattern. After that it works fine.

Needed gears for window motor! Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Just needed to add gear oil.

Be careful opening gear box, tabs that hold it to door panel will break off easily if vehicle is old. Gears fit perfectly into bear box however final drive gear would not slip into socket on regulator and i ended up pushing it out of place and completely unwinding all the drive cables. Finally got it all back together and installed and everything works great. Go ahead and purchase vehicle specific door trim retaining clips I broke the head off nearly all of mine taking panel off.

The plastic seems to be to brittle for the demands of raising the window. I replaced both the driver’s side window gears and the rear only lasted a week. The front gave out a few months later. I guess I’m forced to go with OEM.

I was a little apprehensive about buying this, but figured if it didn't work I could return it. As it turned out, it was a perfect fit/match for the window regulator motor on my 2010 Mazda CX-7. While it took a couple of hours to complete the job, I could now easily do it in about 45 minutes (since I now know how). Highly recommend.

Both of the front power windows on my wife's 2013 Mazda CX-9 stopped working properly during the last year. The symptoms were the same with both: loud grinding noise when pressing the window control button with minimal movement of the window. If the window would go down, you would have to use your hands to help pull it back up while engaging the button. The local Mazda dealership wanted $500+ to fix one window. For less than $50, and about an hour, I fixed both. There is a design flaw with the motors that Mazda used. Over time, teeth start to break off of the main gear in the motor, causing it to start to slip. And then more teeth break, making it worse. You don't need a new window guide track or a whole new motor, just new gears. This set of gears worked perfectly. Just make sure to reuse the 2 black O-rings from the original large gear.

Very quick and easy fix. Used this kit to repair driver front window regulator motor.My symptom was the window would not go up unless i helped pull the window pane up with my hand at the same time as activating switch to go up. Going down was fine. When the window was stuck going up it made ratcheting sound like a stripped gear. "Brrrrrrrrrt" sound.Once inside the motor I found a gear with teeth broken off.I ended up only having to replace the largest gear cog inside the motor, but it was nice having all the components just in case.
