The rear passenger window on my 2014 Tahoe stopped working intermittently and then finally gave up the ghost. I could hear the motor trying to work when the switch was pressed, but nothing happened. I ordered this part and it arrived intact and well packaged. I already had the door panel off and I tested the motor before I installed it. A second pair of hands would’ve been helpful to hold the glass up, but there is a shelf of sorts inside the door that the bottom of the glass can rest on. Once the thingamajig was installed I tested the switch and to my surprise the motor worked opposite to the original, meaning pushing down rolled the window up and pulling up rolled the window down. I’d like to say that I was smart enough to correct the problem right then and there, but instead I figured I’d live with the backward switch and installed the door panel. After a few hours of thinking about the problem, I realized that the wires were installed wrong and that I could depin the plug and swap the pins in the plug. So, that’s what I did and it fixed the problem.TL:DR— if you get one of these and the motor runs opposite to what it’s supposed to, don’t hassle yourself sending it back, use a small pick or jewelers flat screwdriver to unclip the pins and swap them left for right and right for left.
