DID NOT FIT FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR OF MY 97 TOWN CAR AS STATED IT WOULD…I PAID FOR A PART THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A PLUG AND PLAY SO WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO DO ALL THESE MODIFICATIONS TO THE DOOR AND THE REGULATOR JUST TO MAKE IT FIT ?!?!?!…THE PART ITSELF SEEMS TO WORK AS IT SHOULD WHEN I PLUGGED IT IN BUT THE FITMENT WAS STRAIGHT GARBAGE SO I DID NOT INSTALL IN MY CAR…SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT ORDER THIS ONE…

One of the bolts was off. But I was able to modify it. Now that’s it’s all hooked up it works perfectly. It was easy to install. There’s YouTube videos.

DO NOT PURCHASE this item for the driver side front door of a 1995-1997 Lincoln Town Car. It will not fit. The mounting bracket for the electric motor is the mirror image of what is needed. I tried drilling an extra hole in the door panel to accommodate the mirrored mounting bracket. But even then it would not fit. The bracket hit on a curved portion of the inner panel preventing it from being tightened down.

This was ordered as the front left window regulator. The bracket to mount the lower part of the rail did not match the old assembly (see picture). I could not wait another 2 days, so I swapped the bracket from the old unit to the new. Another problem was that the bottom bolt holes did not match so I had to ream out the door hole a bit. On the bright side, it worked well after installing.

This did not fit 1995 Lincoln Town Car. Very disappointed because I waited too long to have it installed and the return window has closed.
