The seat is very comfortable but after the trying to recharge the battery the second time there was a burning smell, then the battery wouldn't recharge at all. Of course, sitting on line, waiting for customer service for Amazon. Then having to repackage and send everything back is a hassle. They couldn't just send me a new battery which would have been easier. I did get an exchange, this seat and battery seem to be working, fingers crossed. I use it for hunting and sitting for hours in the cold the heated seat really helps.

Does it heat up? Yea sure. Is it comfortable? Absolutely not. It's like sitting on a cardboard box.

could have been a little better on the squishiness of the cusion itself if you a bigger person sitting on it. Other than that it works great. heats up really fast. seems like it lasts forever on a 18,000 mAh portable battery

The person I bought it for said it didn't have directions but he figured it out and he really loves.It!! He said would be easy to put on his backpack., it's the right size and it does the job and has different settings for temperatures. So I think its a win, win!!

With hunting season upon us, my 70-something year old dad has been talking about his hunting seat that had been defecated on by raccoons and chewed up by varmints. I am not sure why he left it behind in his tree stand. I’m sure it wasn’t a high end pad and he didn’t care about it enough to fuss over it...First of all, he was jubilated at the prospect of a new seat. He is elderly and gets chilly with the winter temps so the fact that the seat has a heating function is really nice. It doesn’t get super warm even on high so that is my one critique. If I were to remove a star it would be for that…if I were to guess you wouldn’t feel the heat through thick clothing but time will tell.It is intuitive to charge the battery pack and plug it into the side cable on the seat. There is a button on the seat that controls the heat (high, medium, or low). Pretty straightforward which is important for my technologically challenged dad. He sat on it and declared it comfortable. Since he is pleased and is able to work it, I would say it is 5-star worthy! If you are looking for something ultra ultra cushy or super warm, you are probably looking at a higher price point. At the current price it seems like a good value - I will see how it holds up after it makes its debut in the woods and get a full report from dad.

I’m in my mid 50s and I’m very passionate about hunting. I sit out from an hour before daylight until after dark, whenever there are no deer out in front of my blind and I can safely get out without spooking them. I typically sit for around 12 to 13 hours a day. After a few days, at this age, it’s not easy to sit that long anymore. My back really starts to hurt and when you’re uncomfortable, you fidget. When you fidget you make noise. The seat is very soft and comfortable, incredibly thick. on my second day I started to get a little cold so I turned it on and was amazed at how warm it got. By the end of that day and for the rest of the week, I was using it as a backrest and turning it on to use it like a heating pad. It really helped to keep my back loose and I was even able to crack my back a few times myself after using this. if you’re reading this and you have back issues or get uncomfortable sitting out for too long, order the one with the backrest. I didn’t but trust me, this does get warm enough to use like a heating pad and you will really appreciate that once you’re out there for long periods. I can’t say enough good things about this, it was absolutely fantastic.The only negative thing I would say about this is the material it is wrapped in. If you’re sitting out on the ground, it’s good because I believe it would be waterproof and moisture would not soak into your seat and cause it to smell or rot or get moldy. The downfall with that material is that it’s a little loud. I wish it were wrapped in a fleece type material so it were quieter, but then it wouldn’t be very waterproof. For me, I don’t hunt from a tree stand or out on the ground, I have a large permanent blind that is insulated and very soundproof. For me the little bit of noise this made was not an issue.At first, it seems a bit pricey for what you pay, but once you’ve used it, you realize it works well enough that it’s absolutely worth every penny. It functioned better than I had expected it to, and I have no regrets of ordering it. I’m also not the smallest guy in the world. I’m 6 foot one and 245 pounds and my backside fit on this just perfectly.

My dad is a big hunter and as he's gotten older, he's complained of the weather getting to him more and more in the early mornings out in the woods. He lives in the north, so it's a lot colder than where we are. I bought him this heated cushion for when he's out in the tree stands in the mornings and boy does he enjoy it. The power bank holds a charge for a couple days worth of hunting, so he only has to charge it once or twice a week based on how often he goes out. It also does really well with the moisture in the morning dew. An unexpected benefit is that he also has found use for the cushion when he goes to football games. He sometimes is nice and will let others take a minute or two on it to warm their buns, but it's his baby now and he has thoroughly enjoyed staying nice and warm in both settings.
