What an inexpensive HIGH quality transmitter. If you buy multiple receivers, you can use one transmitter for 10 different rc's. You can also purchase the link to hook it up to the PC and play rc pro...awesome way to practice...if they have a similar car to the one you are used to. Definitely recommend.

Just got this in the mail to replace an old Traxxas Revo 2.5r setup I've had laying around for years. The old rx was not working with new digital servos, and rather than buying another Traxxas rx, I decided to just buy this whole system. After plugging in the power and bind cable, I held down the bind button on the tx, turned the power on, waited for the flashing light to go to solid red on the rx, turned everything back off and back on again, and it was working correctly! Plugged the remaining servos in and tied everything up, put some fuel in the Revo and was back up and running again! For 40 bucks, shipped, this controller feels much better than the old Revo tx, and with the new 140g servos, it turns quite fast and is very predictable, as well as a much quicker throttle response from the other servo! For anyone looking to get a cheap, decent controller for their r/c car/boat, this is a fantastic unit to invest in!If I have any issues down the road, I'll be sure to report back with my findings.

Get new batteries when you set this up. (AA 8 of them) I tried to use my batteries from my AM radio transmitter. This transmitter just beeped all of the time. (though still worked) It was the low battery warning. New batteries solved that. Don't leave the controller on. The screen will dim but it will stay on until the batteries are dead and will just beep all the time again.I had to reprogam my esc's throttle. (as you would have to with any new controller) I forgot the steps to do this but a quick google search and I was running. It took me a bit to get this controller figured out. My old Losi AM controller was super simple. This one isn't complicated but I had to read a little to learn the menus. I ended up removing my servo saver and realigning it to center when my steering trim was in the middle on the transmitter. I have a Traxxas Rustler so I couldn't easily do this. (the frame was in the way) I used a small 1/8" drill bit and drilled a hole that lined up with the screw on the servo saver. (this will make things easier in the future as well) In this hobby you have to be able to find information and figure things out. (or do it the hard way)Overall, it is a nice controller. It was relatively inexpensive. I don't have a use for the 3rd channel as of now but it is nice to have the option. I run all of my RC cars at the same time so I doubt will use the ability to control several vehicles but again it is nice to have. (I may just buy more of these controller) UPDATE: I did buy receivers for different cars. It is really nice to be able to name them in this controller and pick the one you want. I do use the feature to control multiple cars now. Also, one of our trucks is an old first gen E-Maxx with way too big of a motor and ESC for the slipper clutch, differentials and transmission the way they sit. It has a 1/5th scale setup in it. You can set the throttle to 50% for example in cases like this to preserve your transmission. It is also really nice to do this for beginners to learn how to drive a really fast remote control car for example. This controller has a lot of nice features for the price.I don't get into whether it 'feels' heavy or light or anything. I really don't care much. I will say that with 8 AA batteries it has a good amount of weight. (mostly from the batteries I think). I have no complaints. The fact that it came with the receiver was really nice. It is about 1/4 the size of my AM radio and the antenna is so short it doesn't stick out of the body anymore. That alone was an upgrade for me. I used velcro to hold it on. I may get a waterproof box for it at some point. Velcro works for now. Update: I did get the Traxxas waterproof box and the receiver fits in there nicely.

This is a review of this product, and a comparison to the upgrade FS-GT3C, and I threw in the It4 at the bottom:I must preface this: I already have the excellent GT3C controller that this is the old model of. I have a fleet of Red Cat RC's and both these controllers run the stock Red Cat receivers with no problem. (except for the rear steers)That said, it feels a little cheap in your hand, will creek if you twist it, but works very well. The 3C feels like you could break it in half with one hand. That's CHEAP! The display is bigger and a little more fancy the 3C.It's a nice unit. Whatever you do, don't drop it! Of course, I can't say the 3C would survive a fall either.Let's do it this way:Instead of the push button scroll wheel, this uses a push button round flat wheel. The flat wheel is much better. (one point for the 3B)Rechargeable: One point for the 3C (but, if you get a wall wart and use rechargeable AA's in the 3B, it's even)Button wheel: another point for the 3B (it's that important)Quality feel: one point for the 3BScreen: one point for the 3BPower button's been moved on the 3C: one point for the 3CDid I mention the power button's been moved?: another point for the 3C (if you bind a lot? You'll give it a second point as well.)The orange is striking: one point for the 3CBuilt in USB on the 3C so you don't need a second cable to use it as a game controller. one point for the 3CThe 3C is so light, if you set it down on carpet, the weight of the steering wheel causes it to instantly fall over: one point for the 3BAs you can see, it's a mixed bag. Both have identical software and programming is the same. points for both. Both will work with most receivers on the market: points for both.Who wins? Good question and I don't have the answer. I would have to say the 3B due to it's lower price, quality feel, and push button wheel. The wheel's important, more so then the power switch and lanyard dock. Both are excellent radios with out of site range. While I'm here, what about the new iT4? It's nice, except they put the steering wheel in the middle of the unit so you won't like the fit, and you have to toss every receiver you have. Including Fly Sky receivers, which also mean that none of your present radios will work with the new receivers. Deal breaker: I sent that back.
