We finally cut the cable cord due to ever rising costs. We have a smart tv so we started looking for antennas, the smaller ones weren't great, so we decided to try this one, I must say, it was a bit of a pain to put together, but there are also instructions online to help, but once together we put in our attic and there has been NO issues at all! We get perfect reception, can watch local channels and stream hundreds of movies and no more cable bills!Excellent price compared to what other stores are selling them for!

This antenna performs adequately and for C$55 is a great deal. Installed in my attic I can get all seven of the available channels in the Edmonton metro area without a line booster. The included instructions are a bit lacking and my box was missing a component to help align the reflector portions but it wasn’t a huge deal. What was a huge deal was the absolutely garbage-tier mounting screws included with the kit! They stripped instantly and were quite a headache. So skip those and use your own screws.

For ~$30 bucks, this is simply the best antenna I have ever purchased. Not too big but antennas need some spread to bring in the signal. This one is about 22" X 22" roughly. It is lightweight and installs VERY securely.Assembly-the instructions are hard to read but it is incredibly simple to put together. Everything snaps in place. A few phillips screws and you are done. It took me ten minutes and I never really looked at the directions.Quality-don't expect a super strong unit, it is made to bring in signals so when it is put together, you need to be a little careful with it but otherwise, it is sturdy enough. No issues with the build quality.Signal-we are 11 miles from the local towers and did not need amplification with this antenna. The signal strength according to the TV was 'green' on all channels meaning strong signal. This unit pulls in ATSC 3.0 4K high def signals but you need a TV to do that. If not, still great picture in 1080P.Installation-I went to antennaweb dot org to find out exactly where the towers were to point the unit correctly. Ours was 191 degrees south and using my cellphone in the attic, I easily twisted the unit to point directly towards them. This is critical. Also, the higher the better in the attic. I found a spot with little to no obstructions (like a neighbor's house, etc.I used a quad shield RG-6 coax cable. Use a good one, it will reduce 'noise'.I will say this, I had purchased one of those flat antennas and another 'digital' antenna. Both went into the trash, they are simply junk. This type of antenna does the best job, period. Also, some of the cheap antennas claim 200 mile range, the curvature of the earth negates that. 70 miles or less is realistic. Lastly, ALL of these antennas pull in 1080P and 4K signals. Check the website to see where and how far your towers are. There is a guy online, antenna man. Look him up and watch his videos, he is a wealth of information. The picture on our TV is not only great, it is stunning. Samsung Neo Qled 4K with a ATSC 3.0 next gen 4K tuner.

Works great. Takes awhile to assemble, but worth it.

Seems to be doing the trick so far I have tried quite a few in the past so fingers crossed

This antenna is a parabolic. It comes in a cleverly designed flat package. Follow the instructions carefully. One pitfall is to mount the biggest element upside down. It should straddle the boom, not sit above it. The reflector elements pop into plastic forms nicely. There was supposed to be some kind of guide for the lateral spacing of the forms, but I couldn't find it. It doesn't matter, because the elements slide in the forms to get the spacing right for maximum strength. In my attic this antenna picks up stations from about 70 miles away from my house, but I have to use an outboard pre-amplifier (not included) to get enough signal to drive the tv located about 40 coax feet away from the antenna. Something odd is that despite the forward gain, the antenna actually seems to have a low front-to-back ratio, meaning that it can pick some stations behind it, which can be a plus, although it makes me think that by draping aluminum foil behind the reflector elements it might be possible to get additional forward gain. To get signals from multiple directions it's possible to use additional antennas with a combiner, although this reduces the signal strength of each individual antenna. I have my pre-amp near the tv, because it gets really hot in the attic in summer and might damage the pre-amp, but it would be better to have it in the attic to mitigate the significant signal losses along the coax. I may do that when the cold weather comes. The signals do vary by time of day and weather conditions, for any antenna. I am using the parabolic for distant stations and a cheaper antenna for nearby ones (12 miles) with a combiner, but I may have to get another parabolic for the near stations because the combiner loss makes some of the nearby stations flaky using the cheap antenna, which could receive the signals when used alone without the combiner. It's not possible to just turn the parabolic around to point toward the nearby stations without disconnecting the cheap antenna, because there are phase differences in the received signals in the two antennas that get mixed in the combiner, so you have to disconnect one of the antennas. If I had two parabolics, I would use them pointing in different directions and fed into the combiner and onward through the coax and pre-amp to the tv. This is a great, compact antenna for indoor use. I don't know how well it would last outside in a high wind, but the reflector elements could be epoxyed or locked in place with cable ties to make it stronger. Also the form supports are plastic and might degrade over time in UV light. At this price it's worth a try. Overall, it's a good value for the price, in my opinion. I would buy it again. Gave it four stars instead of five because the instructions took some effort to follow and because getting signals from the back end implies they could have made it higher gain by including additional reflector elements or a metal screen as a backing to increase reflectivity.
