Upon opening a package for one tablet there was a distinct smell… to me it was a chemical type smell… strong and almost irritating. Tossed it in the disposal as directed and watched the foam do its thing. I did see some discoloration in the foam which made it look like it was working. The chemical smell did subside and left me an impression that the disposal was much cleaner now. I recommend giving it a try… your mileage may vary.

I've been having some issues with my dishwasher that my husband thought may be attributed to the garbage disposal. So, when I saw this product to help clean my garbage disposal, I swiftly ordered it.You need to run warm water while for a bit then drop one of the individually wrapped tablets down the sink with the garbage disposal then turn on the disposal. I followed directions and based on some of the product videos expected to see it foam up, but it did not. I think my sinks garbage disposal may be lower than most, anyway I saw no fizz and didn't really smell anything different. Nevertheless, after using this product as directed, I ran my dishwasher. I got the same code that was appearing for the first wash after using this tablet. However, the second time I ran my dishwasher the code was gone. It's been a week, and my dishwasher is working fine with no codes. My husband thinks that it has something to do with cleaning out the garbage disposal and I tend to agree.We've had the same garbage disposal for over ten years and this product may be what was needed to clean out the stuff inside. Either way, my garbage disposal is clean, and my dishwasher is back to working normally!This product is a win for me and I'm so glad to have a year's supply! This is well worth the modest cost! Two thumbs up!

I’m pretty impressed with this garbage disposal cleaner/deodorizer tablet, especially given the nature of my work. I do a lot of fishing and foraging, and after processing fish, the disposal can get pretty gross. While it doesn’t always smell terrible, you can catch a random whiff of mildew or rotting flesh, which is unpleasant. Upon inspection, I noticed a lot of debris stuck to the teeth of the disposal that I couldn’t easily clean off—that’s where this tablet comes in.Following the simple instructions, I ran hot water, let a small steady stream flow into the disposal, and popped the tablet in. At first, the tablet just clunked around in the gears, but after about 30 seconds, the magic happened: a huge lather started bubbling out of the sink. There were flecks of brown and black mixed into the foam, likely from debris being cleaned off the gears and teeth. After about a minute, the foam settled down, leaving a pleasant eucalyptus and mint scent behind. I rinsed the remaining suds down the drain, and the disposal was left smelling like nothing—just a nice, clean freshness.I’ve only used one tablet so far, but I’m definitely going to use them a few times a year, especially after processing a large batch of fish, crabs, or meats. The results were impressive, and I’m happy with how easy the whole process was. The disposal looks cleaner, smells fresh, and is ready for more use. Highly recommend!
