The way the oil bottle slots into it really helps keep spills down to a minimum. They are perfect for small engine use. Lawnmower, Motorcycle, Weedwhackers, Chainsaws. They do work in the car I just feel it's easier on the smaller engines to get it in the fill hole with no drips on the smaller engines. I think that is because you can come at them from the side. Whereas in the car you have to come from the top. Though in the car you can put it in a small ziplock and easily keep one in the glove box. So that's a plus for car use. Much easier to keep than a full size non collapsible funnel.

These do a solid job of making pouring automotive fluids a little less messy. The snap on feature is much appreciated
