Got this as the canteen cover I had was terrible. This one is excellent and has bonus pockets. Secures the canteen welll.

Had an old canteen cup laying around, sound logic dictates I need to have a canteen and a canteen pouch to complete the set. Took my sweet time looking around for a canteen pouch that had all the benefits of those I was used to in the past with my military service and hopefully a bit more.The product seems robust, functional, and works exactly as intended. HOWEVER, to be honest the deciding factor or this purchase was the complete lack of common sense and technical knowledge the majority of complaints about this product had in common. Not one of these negative reviews complaining about the fit or function know how to properly use a canteen pouch!If I needed another canteen pouch, this one would be in my cart once more. 10/10 I know how to use the pouch.

I am impressed with this Fox canteen cover. It works perfectly with the Pathfinder canteen, cup, stove, and lid set. The only thing is that the flap needs to be tucked in the cover and the Y strap holds it in. It should be adjusted pretty tight so nothing rattles. As far as the cover goes, it's very well made and the two side pouches can hold a lot of stuff. This is a good buy and I highly recommend it

I give it 3 stars for overall construction and for use as a general pouch. My standard canteens are too tall to easily snap the cover in place over the top. There's extra room to accommodate a canteen cup and a drawstring for tightening the opening. If only it comfortably closed over the canteen, it'd be 4 stars.

Mine came in looking, feeling, and smelling like the real McCoy, desert dust included, so it was definitely used, but not much. Fits my GI canteen, complete with cup and stove. Room for heat tabs, Tabasco, or water purification tabs on the side pouches. Good heavy duty clips and stitching. Snaps function like they should. Excellent product.

This is a well designed and well made canteen cover. With just the canteen inside there is plenty of room and the canteen is very easy to insert and remove. The opening for the canteen has a draw cord on each side so you can tighten it up a little if you want to do so. The MOLLE attachment works as advertised.I have also used this with a canteen stove and canteen cup inside. The canteen still fits well, but does stick up a little higher. The strap for the top cover is adjustable, though, and can easily be made to accommodate the extra height. The side pockets are great for a little extra storage room for some small gear.The only minor con is that the "coyote brown" color is just a little off from the several other pieces of gear I have in this color. It's not terrible, but it is noticeable. It could just be on the lot I got, but just wanted to point that out.

This pouch is well made and holds both my metal GI canteen cup and my plastic 1 quart canteen. The good part is that it's not tight like the previous pouch I had which took a lot of work to get the metal cup out. This pouch is sized properly so the cup is snug but not constricted which makes it easier to remove. Another nice feature is the cinch at the top. The cinch bands are flexible so you can tighten them up and still pull out your canteen. The pouch is made of a tough material and the buckle holds well but can be undone with one hand to facilitate removing your canteen. I also like the MOLLE webbing on the back that allows you to adjust the attachment straps to hold tight on your belt or allow you to adjust the up/down position of the pouch on your belt. This is a really good canteen pouch and I recommend it to anyone carrying a military style 1 quart canteen.

This canteen cover exceeded my expectations and is of a high quality. The construction is sound and very durable. The straps and plastic clips and fasteners are built to last. It fits a standard U.S. Army canteen and it's metal cup perfectly. I wear it on my belt, but it is also MOLLE compatible. The side pockets are great too: I put my G.I. lensatic compass in one side pocket (which fits perfectly, btw) and in the other a magnesium/firestriker and some iodine capsules.Note: The product is not exactly as pictured. It does not have black plastic clips on the Coyote Tan/Brown one, it has Coyote Tan/Brown clips, which I thought was better than the one pictured.
