This DC hose is reasonable quality for the price. If this had been 30' of hose for $90 Id be disappointed, but you do get a full fifty feet, so its probably priced ok. There is nothing wrong with it. It is easy to use, carry, and stretch and compress. Its just that the clear plastic between the bands is thinner than my powertec hose, and the rigid plastic bands that spiral through to give the hose strength are narrower in diameter, and thus durability, to the other hose in my shop. That being said, just because its not as beefy doesn't make it bad. I haven't seen any indication that its prone to breaking. I think as long as you're not extremely careless you'll probably be ok, and if you need a hose to stand up to a lot of abuse I would go with something more rigid. the upside to being thinner is that it also weighs less to drag around your shop.In the end, I wouldn't let concerns about durability dissuade me from this purchase. id say if the price is right for your needs than I wouldn't hesitate. You get what you pay for. If you want something beefier than pay a little more, but if this is the best price you can find I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The vinyl material is a heavy gauge and will not tear easily. I like being able to see what is flowing through the hose and any clogs.

I used sections of this hose to connect woodworking machines to pipes from a central dust collector. This hose feels durable and high-quality. It’s very flexible and easy to work with. The embedded metal wire keeps the hose from collapsing under a strong vacuum from the dust collector. According to information from Oneida Air Systems, which is the manufacturer of my dust collector, flex hoses longer than 5’ need to be grounded to prevent static electricity from causing a fire or explosion. Grounding is easy with this flex hose, which is another plus. I just have to expose and strip one end of the internal wire and connect it to a ground source. On most of the machines, this just means making sure the exposed wire is held tightly to the machine's metal dust port by the hose clamp.

I have had a 20’ length of flexible hose connected to my basement shop dust collector for years. It comes in handy as a vacuum hose to clean the floor or tool surfaces, or I connect it to my palm sander or router table or other piece of equipment not permanently connected to my DC piping. I recently moved my basement shop into a much larger space next to my garage and needed another long flex hose. This one is just as good as my other hose. Very flexible. The plastic material is very tough. I tested it with a pretty sharp 1/2” wood chisel and really had to press to break through the material. Very pleased with the quality of the hose. Also the four hose clamps are a nice bonus!
