I used this to connect my laundry sink to my small Asian washing machine. It works perfectly, and the quick disconnect is so handy. There are other accessories that use this kind of connection so the sky is the limit as far as what you can do with this.

I had a rotating adapter for my bathroom to connect to a garden hose but it lacked an aerator, making the water very splashy when using it just for washing hands. This quick disconnect adapter is perfect, letting me keep the rotating fitting and use it for washing hands. Now I just have to buy the other female end of the quick disconnect adapter for the garden hose.Edit: reduced the stars because the application for quick connect is VERY LIMITED due to lack of washer at the end. The other end of the quick connect must have its own washer or be a specific type. I have included one similar product from another seller to show what is missing. It's a shame because it's hard to find a quick connect fitting for faucet that also has aerator, but the lack of one thing had made it unuable for quick connecting any hose and therefore the whole thing is not usable.
