Grabbed to put up near the chickens we're getting. They look real enough. The heads are on springs, and a bit of wind will cause some wobble or wiggle. We're putting at a bit of a tilt so it's more of a profile from directly above. They'll certainly last for some time and handle the weather. I'll have to report back later to see if it handles the sun well over time. These should help deter the bad birds we don't want.

The two owls look realistic—one female and one male.I have this, let's say, "not very smart bird" that has decided to disturb our house every morning for a few hours by pecking and running into our front window. He shows up every day and never takes a day off. I got these owls in an attempt to get rid of his nonsense. I put the owl outside my window, and it seemed to work at first. Then the bird appeared to have become friends with the owl - see picture. After the bird became friendly with the owl, I moved it to the window sill and it seems this location is a better deterrent, however, it does seem to show up sometimes but doesn't stay long. So that's win and it's not daily anymore. I guess it matters what type of bird, if this will work 100% for you or not. If they're dumb enough, it might not matter!

I got these for my wife's gardens outside. I thought that they were battery or solar powered, but that's on me for misreading. We have one that is solar powered and moves when it detects movement. That one is about the same cost as these two, so I dunno if this is really a good deal. These ones are small, lightweight, the head moves easily but it's manual. You have to adjust it when you want versus it moving on its own. The paint job on them is pretty decent and they keep birds away. Just wish they were automatic, but they should work for most people.

3/13/25 This review is for Fake Plastic Owl Decoys, Rotating Head Garden Owl Statue Waterproof Owl Scarecrow for Garden Courtyard Orchard Doorway Roof Owl Decor 2 Pack. We have a covered porch on the front of our house that is a magnet for tiny birds. We were looking for a humane way to scare them away from this area and are hopeful these will help. I have used similar devices in the past and they did work. They are well made, well finished and the heads are moveable. The biggest tip I can give people that want to try these is that you have to move them around frequently so the birds are wary of them. At $19.94 for two of these, they are a good value and an economical way to try this method out.

We had a larger owl that wasn't as well made as these that succumbed to the elements after many years and I was looking to replace it- and got these two. The construction of these is better, so I am optimistic they will last longer. Even if they don't scare off critters from the porch or away from the chicken coop, they are fun to look at, and the kids missed having an owl around when the old one crumbled, so I'm happy with these.I love that there are various mounting options available. We're setting them out, so anchoring is our method. Easy. The asking price, especially with the coupon for a couple dollars off, presents a fair deal for two of them. If you need a couple of owls, and/or want to see if they scare of your local wildlife (your mileage may vary as some care and others don't), these are good and I recommend them.

I got these owls to place in my backyard to scare/keep mice away. They are a good size that isn't too big or small. Their heads spin well. I put some rocks in one to sit on a bench and then placed the other on a long branch. Who knows if they will do their job, but they look legit and I have to look twice to see that they are fake guys that I put up!

These are cute and also versatile. I like the rotating heads as the movement should help to scare birds away from our garden. I like that we can put it on a pole, or fill it with sand to use it sitting on a veggie bed, whichever we choose depending on what the birds are going after at any given time. They look realistic enough to a bird, and the movement will make them even more realistic. The heads do move in the breeze, and that's what I want to make them look alive to a pesky bird. I had them outside today and the heads did move in the wind, although they didn't spin all the way around. Time will tell, but so far these are what I wanted and should help keep birds out of our garden. If nothing else, they're a cute addition to my other decor, but I'm hoping they'll be another deterrent to help keep birds out of our blueberries, cherries, and so on.
