The concept is amazing of this pot but it's pretty hard to use. The function button doesn't feel like I'm making a choice as far as what function I want to use to heat my food. I keep looking for the green light to stop flashing but it hasn't yet. I'm going to try and see if I can get this to work, but if I'm having the same issue, it will be returned.

This is a small cooker. It’s a small crock pot. Even has a steamer attachment. Good deal for a personal cooker. Cook food anywhere there’s an outlet or just heat some up and keep it warm. Good find.

I like the size of this small crock pot. It is great for gatherings when you need a smaller pot for keeping sauces warm, making nacho cheese sauce, or making a warm dip. It is non stick surface, so use proper utensils when scraping the bottom of the pot. A guest used a metal spoon when helping to clean up and the bottom of the pot was scratched up. :(

I'll start with my wife stole this pot from me. I get this for an event in Las Vegas next month. I didn't want to spend a week in a resort casino paying those prices for meals, so I planned to cook my own. My wife got one look, opened it and started using it, and I can't get it back from her. So I guess that's the seal of approval and my signal to either steal it back somehow or get another one.

Interesting cooker. It does heat things up, but I'm not liking the selector button. First, it's a bit hard to tell what's going on as you need to hold it for 3 seconds (and it doesn't beep or light up to even tell you if you've hit it as it's flush with the surface). Then even with some water in it, you need to hold the thing from moving while holding the button. I just tried holding the lid on the top/back while pushing the button (with warmed up water in it) when the lid slipped going flying and I splashed water around (almost getting burned while trying to turn it off). So watch out, not what you want to have happen. I may try out more things, but not off to a good start.Update" Jan 19 I've tried it for a week each morning to heat up water for hot coco or such. I still spend 1-4 minutes playing with the button to get it to go and still not sure where it really is, do I need to push harder/longer, or what as it doesn't just go from a quick touch. There's got to be something better where I'd like an actual switch I can see and feel going to an "off" or "on" rather than this "Hold for 3 seconds and hope you hit it with no hint if you have".If the light blinks by the function, the pot is off but waiting for you to start it. If the light is solid, the function is on and heating. The directions say it has these functions: Hot pot, Cooking, Boiling Congee, Slow stew, and Insulation. The unit says these: Hot pot, Rice, Porige, Low Stew, Keep warm. Interesting that they don't match up. Also the unit has a sticker saying "800 watts", but the manual says "600 watts". The power draw was 5.3 amps, so ~600 is more correct.

This is such a cool thing to have especially if you're a college student in a dorm. It takes up very little space and it's very easy to use.

I'm happy with this hot pot. I got it set up, and immediately boiled a little water and made some dumplings. it heated up very quickly on the highest setting and steamed the dumplings quickly. My only issue is that I'm concerned the plastic is relatively thin, and I could see it heating up and deforming with high temp heavy use, but that's not really what you'd use a steamer basket for - if you aren't using it, remove it from the stack. I also dislike that the pot itself is not removable, so you have to wash the whole unit. Even value priced rice cookers usually have this feature.

The one I received is a single pot with a nice non-stick surface inside. It came with cleaning pads which when they're worn out, I'll know what to purchase. I like that there are several heat settings, making it versatile. It does seem to heat fairly fast. It is attractive to have sitting on the counter and is more decorative than most appliances. I've not tried the timer. It would have been nice if it came with a cookbook to get you started and help a person adapt their own recipes to this appliance. This product is made in China.
