Purchased bypass pulley for 2005 Ford Escape XLT. After evacuating A/C lines, removing serpentine belt and dropping compressor, I found the OE A/C compressor bracket is required to provide adequate clearance for the bypass pulley. Without it, the pulley wheel contacts the belt tensioner. Despite product review stating that two sets of bolts are provided with the kit, only one set of bolts arrived. The M8 bolts provided are NOT long enough to mount the pulley to the block with the bracket in place. I thought that I may have received the wrong kit by mistake, so I scheduled an exchange (for an identical item) due to the missing/incorrect mounting hardware, and waited for exchange part to arrive (with proper mounting hardware).Replacement part arrived with the same 3 bolts, still not big enough to mount the bypass pulley. My vehicle will not run without the serpentine belt, so I had to Uber to the hardware store ($25) in order to purchase the appropriately-sized bolts ($4.50) so that I could install the bypass pulley and get my vehicle started again.

Worked perfectly on a 2003 Ford Escape 3.0L V6 to replace a compressor that was locked up. Temporary fix til I get time to replace compressor, drier and evaporator.. :)
