This bowl does not have a 6.5 quart capacity. We thought it looked small for that volume so we filled it with water using a two quart measuring cup by Pyrex. We measured 5.5 quarts and we measured twice. The bowl looks to be very sturdy, the glass is fairly thick, but the volume is completely misrepresented. I want a larger bowl.

I use this bowl to make my sourdough bread dough in. It's just the right size for one loaf of bread. Also the glass is thick and of good quality.

I had a bowl like this once before and I managed to break it. My daughter bought this for me for Christmas and I am so happy because it lets me make several batches of cookies all at once instead of a bunch of tiny ones and smaller bowls.

i bought the set of this xl plus 3 other smaller sizes. i like clear bowls for most mixing jobs. heavy enough not to move on counter, easy clean up, etc. not as thick as the one i broke but we'll see how long it lasts.

Amazing glass bowl! Just what I was needing for my sourdough baking. It cleans extremely easy in the dishwasher and is great quality! It is very large, so just be prepared to have a good space in a cabinet for storing!

I needed a new big bowl for my yeast breads to rise in after mine shattered. The size is huge, as described, perfect for baking and family-sized meals. The glass seems a great quality and cleans easily. It feels a little lighter than my old Pyrex but wasn’t necessarily a bad thing seeing as I dropped my last one. Definitely got my moneys worth!

I broke my Mom’s big bowl, so I ordered this big bowl. She loves it and used it that night. The only problem with it is, lol it’s too big for her cabinets. So we’re keeping it down stairs in the big cabinet.
